Are you sure thats just a eternal bug in the system they can't be arsed to fix because it would interfere with their war arcs?
To be honest, I'm not sure. The dev team is remarkably tight-lipped about just about everything.

Sadly, the devs still seem to be dead-set on their "no explicitly supernatural content" rule. You'd think they'd at least give us aliens, but so far nothing.

"Get over their fetish"? The entire storyline so far has basically been made of war arcs. Even the 50-year "Cold War" arc had conflicts all over the place. I wouldn't mind something different though.

I'm still waiting for the time travel feature to be implemented. Being able to observe previous story arcs would be pretty awesome.

Very well, you've convinced me. I'll go with Nuke's plan.

I still say that we should begin exploring the Jovian system (Jupiter and it's many moons) as soon as possible. What if we found life, say on Europa? Imagine how much people would pay to get a chance to study them! Plus the potential resource density is among the highest in the system.

If our goal is space dominance, we're gonna need an off-Earth source of warm bodies at some point. I wouldn't put it past some Earth governments, especially once they realize how much power we have, to forbid us from landing or hiring new recruits. A colony on Mars could be run by us, for us, and would be relatively safe from attack or invasion. Get a large enough colony, and we'd have what amounts to a small country backing us 100%.

First, we might as well let the geeks finish the Pre-Fab Space Station technology. It might come in handy before very long. They can work on Colony studies after that if everyone wants, but I like the sound of shields and would prefer to continue studying the relic.

Let's go to Jupiter. The huge number of moons means that we'll have plenty of opportunities to explore, and without flying to new orbital rings.

Re: The Chinese space station, I'm all for space dominance. We need to establish ourselves as the cheapest, most effective ground-to-orbit lifter in the system. Put out contracts for launching satellites, making delivery runs to the station, and stuff like that. NUKE's idea makes sense; if the Chinese screw up, we'll be able to say "See? If only you had come to us first".

As for the colony rumors: Neither confirm nor deny. Let it be "leaked" that we're in the early planning stages of a colony, but we have no idea when we'll be able to do so and no timeframe for beginning construction.
