Human halberd-wielding adventurer, running around slaying bandits. After completing a few quests, I manage to convince an Administrator to join me to kill a night creature (which we do without a single wound). I'm so impressed that when I return to the same town I recruit a few peasants and a hunter, whose help allows me to slay several more bandits and other assorted beasts.

So we're on our way to kill another night creature, and I discover a camp site. I think "this should be a good opportunity to earn some loot and experiences, give my companions some fighting experience".

It starts with a hammerman. He is decapitated from my first strike.
Then there's an axeman. I wound him enough for my companions to finish the job. While moving on, I see a few more humans and two elves (?) moving in to attack. "No big deal" I think, having dealt with similar numbers before. I move in to engage, wounding and maiming bandits, when nearly a dozen more begin showing up. Now I'm worried, my adventurer is taking some blows, and my companions are being surrounded. I try to break away, and get shot by an crossbow elf (?!), causing heavy bleeding. I keep up the fight, but my fate is sealed, my companions fall one by one, and still more bandits are arriving. Holy crap.

Well, it required staying at school for FIFTEEN HOURS, but I got to see a pretty swinging jazz concert tonight. I am 95% sure it was worth it.

There's no restriction on the number of times a storm bolter can fire, aside from AP limitations, so theoretically a marine could rattle off 10 shot in a single turn, and continue doing that for as long as he survives. The other ranged weapons have ammo limitations. The flamer gets six shots, the assault cannon gets 10 with a reload for another 10 with a chance of malfunctioning and killing the marine.

I will get the first mission posted tomorrow. Would have done it today, but I spent literally the entire day at school. It's almost 10:30 at night here, and I got home 10 minutes ago.

This thing got me to orbit and back, with tri-couplers. I'm planning to try replacing the solid boosters with liquid, but for now these work rather well.

Re: Solid vs liquid, it was my understanding that solid boosters were more powerful and more efficient in terms of weight and space. I tend to use solid boosters to get off the pad, and liquid boosters for everything else.
