I used to program stuff years ago. I even got into a competition in my last year of high school.
Sadly, I stopped once I discovered that a career was by no means guaranteed or even a wise path to take, and now can barely remember anything.
Thankfully, next semester I am taking a couple of programming classes, so maybe I'll get my old spark back. I have all sorts of ideas in my head, if I could only figure out how to make them work.

The ending was pretty spectacular in my opinion. When they mentioned that the white goo is made from lunar dust, my first impression was it just another silly joke. Then you open a portal on the moon o_o And Chell's first taste of freedom is a view of the Earth that most people never get to see.Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Well, just say that they chemically interact well and it's possible! Since there's no actual science behind it, anything goes.But then you might mix two metals with the consistency of jello and produce an alloy that makes adamantium look like a sponge. There's too much lee-way.

Random metals sound good, until you try to make alloys. There won't be any way of knowing what metals react with what, or if they'd even be able to. Then the alloys themselves would need random attributes that might make no sense. Sounds like a headache to me.
