Yeah. The only thing more popular then saying the word will end in 2012 is people saying that the people who say the world will end in 2012 are stupid.
I cash in on that, I must be a popular person now!! But yeah good point, now that you mention it. It's a bit like Bieber bashing, except it's related to... LACKING COGNITIVE ABILITIES, rather than being jealous over a little kid being more famous than oneself. (take that, internet troglodytes!!)

I still think it's dumb though. Somewhat amusing, but dumb. Some of the doomsday theories are pretty creative, but this is like "MAYANS SAID IT, FAGBUTT". Nobody even bothers explaining how it will happen (or maybe my dgaf-level has reached a point where I overlook everything, either way works).
People have "explained" it, there are probably a dozen "facts" that will lead to the end of the world on the same day. Astonishing that so many improbable events will all happen at once, eh?

I always use a tank. Early in the game when your soldiers will die to a disapproving glare, being able to survive ambushes long enough to shoot rockets is invaluable. Always go with rocket tank.

Wait, why have we not created a Dwarf civilization and conquered the universe? ???
1: I did. Lost interest when a bunch of strangers came in and ruined everything (next time, don't leave an open immigration policy!)
2: There are several, far more powerful civs.
3: The game barely runs as is, and early in a civ's life there isn't much need for more than one person.

It's been dry here. Even in the mountains we're hardly getting snow, despite single-digit temperatures most days. Hopefully it picks up, otherwise the drought will only get worse.

I raise your derp by adding my herp derp dorf.
Just kidding, scary dorf.
That's...not scary. Are you sure you linked to the right video?

It's awesome, but this is 100% scary.
You guys scare easily. I watched this all the time when I was two or so :|
Unless this is supposed to be a joke or something

Only if it had a Dwarf Fortress-style combat and wound system. I want to rip the leg off my opponent and beat him to death with it!

Base name: Hidden Temple
Location: Italy

Does it matter which difficulty? I heard that a bug made it so that no matter which level you picked, all the missions were on the easiest.
On the off chance that this bug no longer exists, I must concur with Dsarker and go with HIGHEST DIFFICULTY!

Also: reserving a soldier. Give him a laser gun once they become available.

Been feeling crappy yesterday and today. Thinking about seeing a doctor, but it's probably just a bad cold. Haven't even vomited yet, thank goodness.

I'd like to invite everyone to read A Brief History of the Apocalypse.
Realize that as far as 4,000 years ago, people were predicting the end of the world and writing about it. Probably making stage productions and best-selling clay tablets.
Further realize that certain segments of the population are still trapped in that 4,000-year-old mindset.
Weep for/laugh at humanity.

35668
Yikes, that didn't go so well.

Is anyone else reminded of X-COM? High potential for casualties, emphasis on maneuvers and positioning, random missions.

35669
Probably this. Seems to have fallen into obscurity pretty quickly.
That might be it. Certainly looks familiar, though I think my version had different box art.

I will look for (and purchase) a shirt that says: "I survived the Apocalypse and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"

Not very original, but it perfectly sums up MY feelings.
