Who the fuck thought that putting homing bullets into a bullet hell game was such a brilliant idea?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Don't most bullet hell games have homing bullets?
Love that game, BTW. Just got it from the Humble Bundle.

Only if said freighters are big enough. My current (still early game) frieghter can carry 1 automine, so I'd need a good sized fleet to deliver 100 to Io in any reasonable timeframe.

Pretty sure kirrian is referring to Io, moon of Jupiter.

I think he's using the family computer.  Something along the lines of his parents not trusting/allowing him to install anything.
That's my guess.

I didn't mean to sound judgmental. If I did I apologize.

@ KaelGotDwarves: I was mostly referring to the person who, I quote, has "been having a random crying spell pretty much every night this week". I'm not assuming that this thread is full of potential suicides, but that much crying could indicate deeper problems. I just hate seeing other people go through that stuff.

Great, now I'm sad too :(

How many people in this thread have gone to see a psychiatrist?

I'm not being mean, I'm genuinely asking. Sobbing to yourself is not a sign of healthy mental status. Neither is self-loathing or the feeling that no-one wants to speak with you. To me, these sound like symptoms of depression, and may require medication and/or counseling to manage. I'm talking REAL medication, not drinking yourself into a stupor or getting high on various hallucinogens (not accusing anyone here of either of those things).

I was depressed all throughout high school, and was only diagnosed after I entered college. Now I wonder how much different my life could have been if I'd been getting treatment rather than moping about.

I say this with all the best intentions in the world: if you think you need it, get help.

Was playing Phantasy Star Online, wanted to name my character after the star Sirius (aka "The Dog Star"). I made a spelling error, liked it, decided to keep it, and the rest, as they say, is history.

I saw a documentary some years ago about the use of pure harrassment tactics from debt collectors (such as calling and hanging up in the middle of the night and outright threats) to get debtors to pay up, and outright hiring thugs to intimidate them. I have no idea what separates them from mob loan sharks at this point (that they can't take a bat directly to your knee?). Then again, I have even less an idea how any of this could be legal in the first place.
According to Reader's Digest, tactics such as those ARE illegal, and can be reported to the police.

Of course, it's better that you don't have loan sharks calling in the first place, but...

Is there any actual point to the trade goods, or are they just abstract representations of wealth?

Do we know that the snow and stuff will disappear once the holidays are over? It looks like it'd make a decent permanent update.

"I say we make him sing that song. Don't humans usually only sing in private if they're embarrassed?"

today i transfered my brothers pg's from his wow account to another.
he had become overly too eager to play with it.
that is why when he'll come back home, he'll find the surprise waiting for him.
to ensure i won't be marked the culprit, i went as far as mimick an hacker attack, changing the emails to others, changing passwords of BOTH our accounts (i no longer play, but my account is still there).
i then will douche bag him in game with an in game letter one day or the other, so i'll come out clean.
but since that would require me to re-install Wow...it's going to be a further away day.
How does any of that make you sad? Sounds like you're actually having fun.
