So getting opposite-ethic empires spawning next to you is just shit luck, but it's somewhat engineered shit luck. :P

Good news! Your paranoia is true: The universe DOES exist to screw you over!
Well yeah, no shit :P

Man, I miss Hazeron. For a short time it was one of my favorite games despite its obvious jank.

Then it started going off the deep end and I bailed. Still, there hasn't really been anything else that scratched that colony-building ship-designing dying-to-horrific-procedural-monsters itch.

It's basically hardcoded in, as far as I can tell. Annoying as hell.

: "I cannot tell; are the blobs the ones being taken care of, or is it the people?"

Amberly nodded solemnly.

: "It's more Carmen's idea than my own - I'm not sure what to think just yet - but it makes a certain amount of sense. We may never know the truth of the matter though.

"Anyway, Vortai has the right idea. If your brother has a theory, we should certainly hear it."

Something something only Sith deal in absolutes.

: "Oh yes, of course. The Captain is just testing an ancient ring that the Abbess gave him; it lets him shoot magic bolts when he swings his axe, it seems."

: "But um, that's not important right now. What is important is that we're pretty sure that those fanatics were Domirian and that they've been involved in some sort of conspiracy against the Alvadan crown for a number of years now. In fact, Carmen has raised the possibility that they may have forced the battle at the museum as part of their plot. I don't quite know if I believe that part but if it's true it means that we just caught up in their schemes and we probably never had a chance of getting out of there quietly or peacefully, which of course would be something of a weight lifted from our souls." The nun inhaled, out of breath from her rush to get the important information out of the way.

: "Sorry for rambling on. How is your brother doing? He wasn't hurt, was he?"

Start a "History of Antisemitism" thread or something, folks. This stopped having much to do with American politics quite a while back.

Wild guess: criticism of some of Israel's policies.

42-1 sells off his rarely-used Iron weapons (dagger and knife) and the nearly-spent Heal staff. In exchange he picks up a Silver Dagger and the Inspire staff. He also grabs the Master Seal from the convoy, just for the right time.

: "Indeed, if Sir Blobbington is any indication we may have a quiet and peaceful time in Blobbonia. Though perhaps not one free from blobs on heads."

371
: "A Domirian plot? Do you think it could it be in revenge for the battle in Demura? Though, that only happened a short time ago. Surely a plot of this magnitude would have been in the works for years."

They must have all migrated over here. I've seen a ton of the little bastards around.

My aunt, who had caught COVID a while back despite being vaccinated, died earlier today. I had been under the impression that she was on the mend, but apparently she'd been up and down (mostly down) for the past week or so. Then last night her organs started giving out.

It's still sinking in. I've never been especially close to my aunts and uncles since they all live so far away, but this was the one I was closest to.

Biocoded weapons were added to vanilla around the time Royalty came out, IIRC. What Royalty adds are persona weapons, which similarly to biocoded gear can only be used by a single person.

Don't wild animals have a tendency to freeze up when exposed to bright lights? "Going tharn" as put by rabbits. Apparently deer will do the same sometimes, when they're crossing a road at night and a car comes up on them.
