Isn't that just the portal thing that takes you back to your spawn point? (After rolling the credits)You tell me?

I'm actually trying to survive a super-hostile map right now. I might have to restart though, I've lost tons of precious sand when the ground collapsed underneath me. On the other hand, I've got a tree farm going now.If you're forced to live underground, it'd be tough to get things like wool, leather, wood, and of course meat. Hell, you wouldn't even be able to grab sticks to make a pick to dig out your underground abode. There's a spacemod being made, not entirely sure how active it is, but I recall seeing it.fucking link!
I've wanted this for...
well since I got minecraft!
also, I'd like it if every new world you started had random things (e.g. acid seas in one world, magma in another etc.) and the atmosphere could be corrosive, forcing you to live underground with air filtration systems...
fucking hell, why do I think of things I want but will never exist D:
Super Hostile. Resource shortages? Been there, done that.
The point is the challenge, and of course being self-sufficient in a limited space. People love a good challenge- take LPs of any popular game, for example.

...Did it occur to anyone else that The End is one big parody? The End is "the end" to a sandbox without end, coupled with a completely useless dimension and the obligatory dragon that Notch said he'd never add. Slaying the Enderdragon can't be the end, either, since it brings no closure to a strife that never existed. On top of all that, there'll still be more stuff to do after The End (e.g. Skylands), making it no End in the first placeI always saw it as the End of Time, taking place millions of years in the future.
It's little more than a punch line weeks into the making.
The original concept of the Sky Dimension was later rebranded as "The End",[1] a dark place fittingly referred to as the "end of the game", home to the Endermen and the Enderdragon, and a total conversion of the original idea.
However, Notch tweeted much later that a different "Skylands" dimension is still in the making. This version, completely seperate from the End, is now set to replace the original idea.
I'd like to make a note, regarding the wiki's list of upcoming "features".I agree, I was looking forward to a sky dimension. Not sure what would be there, but still, floating islands!QuoteThis update will also include "The End" (unofficially called "The Ender", or "Enderlands"), which replaces the previously announced Sky Dimension.
There's one design decision I'm definitely not happy with. The Ender's cool and all, but I want my skylands back. That's one mod everyone can get behind.
Is the repairing stuff still in?According to the wiki, it is.
