That...sounds really cool. And a massive time-saver. Could you give me a quick run-down on how to get it set up?

So to get survey work done quickly, multiple groups are the way to go.

That's kinda a shame. Clicking New TG and Rename TG over and over again gets a bit annoying.

Here's a question: If I place multiple survey vessels in the same task group, will they all fly together to the same locations? Or will they split their efforts?

I've always created multiple task groups, each with a single ship, because I never knew for sure.

The clock for the overhauled ships is going *UP*, not down.

These ships are less than a thousand tons apiece, which is below my maintenance facility's maximum ship size (so that shouldn't be the problem). I can't even cancel the orders to overhaul because the proper buttons to do so are greyed out.

This run is bugged and I'm done with it. Starting over.

I'm guessing they will indeed be reworked.

Fuck it, I'm deleting this game then. Have had terrible luck with minerals anyway, I'm not going to leave survey vessels locked into the shipyards for the next hundred years on top of it.

They had an intended time of 36 months (so, three years), but ran over and crew morale started going down the drain. I thought that overhaul was needed, but a short time after entering overhaul I was told that morale was back up to 100%. The ships are, of course, still stuck. This feels more like a glitch than anything else.

Well, it can't be the Maintenance Clock thing. The clock is going *UP* while they're in Overhaul. Currently at 8.something, ticking up every month by a tiny amount.

They've been in Overhaul for two or so years now. I need my survey ships in action, dammit!

I don't think swapping them out will help; the ships themselves seem to be stuck in overhaul (at least according to the F6 menu).

I can't find anything that will cancel the overhaul though, nor can I find any sort of progress indicator.

I told my survey task groups to return to Earth for refueling and overhaul (since I had badly underestimated how long to set their deployment times).

Well, they're fueled up and the crew is ready to return to space. Unfortunately, the task groups are still overhauling. They seem to be stuck. I can't give them any orders whatsoever as the Add Order button is greyed out. What do?

So, Melee Weapon Training (Primitive) would still apply to a mono-sword? Just to clarify.

It's probably best to not even build anything with conventional tech, unless you're really really eager to get started. Even basic TN tech will outstrip conventional by such a huge margin that it's not even funny, and it will only drain some of your limited stockpiles.

For instance, a single size 1 Conventional Engine will provide .2 Engine Power. A single size 1 Nuclear Thermal engine (the first TN engine available) provides 5 Engine Power, while costing the same amount of materials.

You don't actually have that much xp remaining, IIRC. A brand-new character starts with 4,500 xp, but can't actually use it on anything (it's already been spent on whatever abilities the career path has).

Also, shouldn't Rogue Traders have better Fellowship than that?
