He sells both of his used-up knives.
He buys:
Hellfire (goes to Catherine)
Killer Lance (goes to Senija)
2 Concoctions (goes in the bag o' holding)
Leviathan (for Anne-Laude)
Starshot (goes to Mason)
Winged Rapier (for himself
)
Two sets of brand new Steel Knives
He sells both of his used-up knives.
He buys:

He kinda was. A mistaken, tragic villain perhaps, but he still committed all sorts of atrocities while under Sovereign's influence. If Anderson's stories are any indication he wasn't exactly a paragon before the events of ME1 anyway.
