Modern cats didn't exist until we domesticated their ancestors. Perhaps instead of us getting our inner cruelty from cats...we instead gave it to them?

4217
Okay, but in Magi we're also trying to escape and it's just a clusterfrag. Are we really so eager to get into another one of those?

I'm not suggesting that we turtle indefinitely. Let's just use this nice and solid defensive structure, thin out the initial wave in relative safety, and then make a break for it.

If nothing else we'll probably level up a couple of times and be better prepared for future waves.

4218
This is probably a dumb question, but why aren't we holding up in the building? We can at least fend off the first wave and not get immediately swamped with sheer numbers that way.

Sure, but increased habitability translates into increased maximum happiness, and increased happiness also boosts resource growth. It's actually higher in the long term that way, because all the tiles will fill up eventually.

Sam was subdued as they walked. She did her best to stay away from home since joining the resistance movement, and now here she was on assignment. She hoped her parents wouldn't be involved in whatever went down tonight. She didn't want to face them.

And catgirls sometimes don't have whiskers. There's a whole range of catgirl and birbgirl.

4226
I think it's a birbgirl. Like a catgirl. Only birb.

Since I'm not as familiar with the modding scene for stellaris as I am with say, DF or Cata DDA, what kinds of mods would typically still work unmodified after an update like this?  I imagine anything that changes game values, like expanded ethics are out, but would things like Avali(cuddly space raptors yay!), flag icons, and coloration stuff still work correctly?
Well, I know the species mods broke after one update or another changed the way that species groups were organized. Some of them still haven't been updated and are useless now.

So I wouldn't assume that any mods will remain unbroken after Banks is released.

Sam shrugged.

"Magic is about the only thing I can think of that would suit me - I've been told that my playing is actually magical, though the guy who said that might have just been flirting - and I just can't get those fancy tomes to work. Staffs are no good either. As far as regular old weapons are concerned, I'm certainly not gonna strike fear into anyone's hearts with these." "These" were Sam's arms, which had a wiry sort of muscle to them but nothing like a trained fighter's tone. She still flexed them, jokingly.

"For now, these drums are all I've got. That and moving boxes. It's not much, but if the resistance finds that useful I'll play until my arms fall off."

Sam took the onion, thinking that she'd put it back in the crate later. Not that she didn't like onions, but there were plenty of other folks who needed it.

"Can't tell if I should be flattered at the suggestion or offended at my music being called "loud". Loud is good. You need to be able to hear the music when battle rages all around.

But anyway, I'm not cut out to lead. I'm one of the younger ones here...and I can't fight at all. Moral support is important and all but it's no substitute for being...well, useful."
