Personal Fault is a no. The trigger is fine, but the drawback is forever negated if you stick to polearms and other range-1 weapons.

How aboot my fallback standard PF of:

Equiphobia: When fighting units on Horseback or Pegasus, -15 Hit.
That would be acceptable.

You're missing your bonus stats. Other than that, you're good.

You're missing 10% progression. Also your Character Skill should be Potential, not Blossom; Blossom gives an extra preferred stat.

That first PS is pretty strong. Once you hit Samurai (or even before, if you get a knife at some point), you can potentially trigger it every attack against anything except mages. I'll have to think on it a little.

Everyone else's sheets appear to be fine at the moment, though some of you need to make sure bios and mugs get added.

Not to diminish your ownage, but ABC sequencing has been in Starbound...basically since it was fairly early in development :P

Since we start as trainees (even though we get bumped up to first class), I guess we get the trainee weapons?
You get no equipment at first, being in prison. I probably should have mentioned that earlier.

Don't worry, I won't be throwing you folks at the baddies unarmed  :P

Clearly you've come up with a system for punching people
It already exists. Unmodified STR vs DEF. I can't remember if it autohits or if it has a Hit modified by SKL and Evade.

Slid down a cliff about 20 feet, landed fine, no damage. Slid down the next cliff of about 15 feet, landed fine, no damage. Slid down the next cliff of about 5 feet, died instantly.

Could you PM where you found this...mod? I've got a couple of Ubisoft games I am quite interested in modding.

Aloisturm looked down at the attacking skeleton in contempt.

"Annoying."

Take a five-foot step to the south, active astral armor (if it isn't active already) and swing at the skeleton!

After some confusion in the IRC, I want to try and clarify a couple things:

Yes, elves and dwarves exist in this universe. No, they are not playable. They would have been captured alive if suspected of committing a crime and returned to their respective peoples for judgement. The Empire's current position is somewhat precarious and they have no desire of alienating their few allies.
The important part about the backstory is being accused of a crime and getting thrown in prison. There could have been extenuating circumstances, or you could be framed. Or you could have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Perhaps you committed one misdemeanor too many and the village sheriff decided to finally be done with you. Or you could be guilty as sin. It's really up to you.

First time GMing a game, please be gentle :P

As far as wars go, this most recent one had been pretty bad.

Never mind the fact that much of the Empire lay in ruins. Never mind that countless families have been torn apart (in some cases quite literally). Never mind that anyone half-way sane could tell you that there was still plenty of fighting to do in order to clear out remnant enemy forces.

No, the thing that made this war the worst one is that you had done something wrong. And you had gotten caught.

As the invasion had approached its blood-soaked climax, officers all over the Empire had begun to impose harsher and harsher penalties on any number of infractions, hoping to keep their shaken soldiers and panicky civilians in line. What would have resulted in some time in the stockades in peacetime, maybe five lashes at worst, now resulted in ten. Then twenty. Then lockup. Then executions.

You had been busted near the very end of the war, as the enemy marched on the capitol and no one was certain what would happen next. In some ways, this was a blessing: not even the most punctilious, by-the-book sort of officer was going to delay rushing to the Empress' aid in circumstances like this, not even to hang the worse scum imaginable. Thus, your sentence was put on hold. You got a few more weeks to live. After the war had been won, those weeks stretched into months. You were moved from one brig to another in search of an officer with sufficient free time to condemn your soul to the Abyss. You may have begun to wish that they'd just get it over with.

And so, as summer 201 AE approaches, you find yourself in a cell with some other luckless scum. Just waiting...and wishing that something would happen.

Yes, an FEF! Everyone likes these. Maybe this one will turn out okay.

We will be using the 1.3 version of the handbook, with some changes for (one can only hope) balance.

Build your characters starting at Trainee class. However, I will be rolling your first five levels before the game begins to put everyone at first class. Make sure that you know what you will be promoting to!

Are we talking about the candy, or the fast food burger?

The candy. A chocolate covered BK Whopper would be one of the more vile things conceived.
Ah, gotcha. I just came in on the last couple of posts about "Team Whopper" and was slightly confused.

Sam shot Martyn a worried look (he wasn't exactly the toughest guy if her memory was at all accurate), but didn't waste time arguing. Instead she launched herself towards Sharne at a run, and began tapping out the War Hymn of Izzarra.

: "FREEEEEEDOM!"

(8,15), put on a real Performance this time!

So as it turns out, Farra doesn't have enough firepower to take down the Spearman with her last shot (by 1 damage, at that) and neither does Martyn. It may be for the best for Sam to instead head to the forest immediately right of Sharne and bard her for another shot at the Axeman while Martyn and Bertholt do other things, but final moves are up for debate.
If no one contradicts this within a few hours, I'll go ahead and follow this new plan.
