Well.

I don't think I've ever said "what the fuck" out loud in response to a Pokemon game before, save for some lousy hax on the AI's part in battles. Until just now.

Go doesn't need lore, it's a mobile tie-in game. It needs to have no relation to the main series other than including the appropriate mons and items.

ugh

It looks just like Rimworld and Prison Architect before that.

What is the appeal of this style of character sprite?

Game Theorists is full of crap. The fossil pokemon are pretty explicitly prehistoric, some of them even have Pokedex entries mentioning them being extinct for 100,000+ years. You would have to argue that the games take place so many millennia in the future that all traces of our modern society have been completely wiped away while somehow leaving humans and the vast majority of pokemon species pretty much exactly the same, which just raises more questions.

Oh, they're still here AFAIK :V

It's probably Terraria. The tumbleweeds in that game are vicious little bastards.

Sounds like you should either be sleeping in shifts, or take a race that only meditates rather than sleeps.

Of course you shouldn't need to do that sort of thing in a friendly city at all, but still...

Yeah, it's a new show where a dude named Neil constantly insults and belittles another dude named Tyson.

I found that cavalry in Medieval II aren't all that great compared to, say, Rome. It seems like just about every army has spearmen as basic+ troops, and missile weapons have longer range and greater killing power.

A good cavalry charge can still make or break a battle, and in their own roles (chasing fleeing units, countering ranged units caught in the open, etc) they're still effective, but you can't really win battles just by spamming heavy cav anymore.

I saw Arrival tonight. T'was a nice bit of sci-fi that wasn't all lazers and rubber foreheads. More like "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" or something.

Or perhaps they are reptiles that live primarily near volcanic vents, or in underground caves.

So, the earlier statement about being able to get all of the HAs in game was a falsehood?

Dammit, I had gotten my hopes up, too :<
