Ah yes, Smash Burger. We have a few of them here in California, but not many. I haven't seen them, at least.

They are actual burger joints! In-in-Out is almost exclusively a West-Coast thing, and I'm pretty sure Five Guys doesn't extend much further east.

Tiranny might be preferable to some things...

You people just haven't had that yet. You gotta try at least once.
It's like hamburger, or coca-cola, you have to intake it rarely and in small amounts, but periodically, to not forget how shitty they are.

Though I'm pretty sure last time I tried a hamburger, I got poisoned, so w/e
It's only shitty because Russia cannot haz juicy burger. A good hamburger is a wonderful thing.

You gotta grill 'em yourself, not buy shitty fast food burgers. Of course those are gross. Everything they serve is gross.
Five Guys burgers are best burgers.  Or at least very good ones.
I have been told by reliable sources that In-n-Out burgers are right up there with Five Guys.

Also, got my car fixed. Hopefully.

The vanilla odds of a pop dying from bombardment are vanishingly low if you're trying to kill them all off. Usually the enemy will surrender before you get to that point.
Yeah, but this was 3 or 4 pops dying all at the same time and starvation was in effect. Either I got unbelievably unlucky with bombardment rolls or something screwy was going on.

Good news: It is the battery, not the starter or alternator. The AAA tech I called out seems to think so, anyway, and was able to jump the car.
Bad news: The fact that it died overnight, with no lights on, and has been having difficulty cranking for the past week, tells me it still needs to be replaced and the shops don't open for another couple of hours yet. The battery in this model of car is also a pain to access.

Never really watched Teen Titans myself, but if I recall, didn't the series start as completely serious, like Batman-ly serious(given that Robin is one of the main cast)? Now the art style and overall writing makes me think of The Fairly Oddparents.
I don't think it was ever completely serious, outside of moments involving Slade (aka Deathstroke) or other major villains. Even in the older series there were plenty of silly moments and gag episodes.

aaaaaaaaaaaaa
my car won't start
i think its the starter
or maybe the battery is bad
shops are all closed for another 4 hours at least

Ouch, good luck. No slopes or manual labour to push start?
No and no. Also, would pushing help it start if the starting motor is bad? I figured that was more of a dead-battery trick.

Also my car is an automatic, and Google tells me that you can't usually push-start those :(

Also how famine, bombardment and natural disasters can't wipe out a planet's population, you can't sterilize pops but keep them alive (short of slavery with reproductive rights disabled) yet somehow you are able to exterminate a pop even if that would cause the planet to become uninhabited (surely the last pop would take issue with self-extermination?). And it really, really is unfortunate that the cloning tanks do not let you clone pops :<
Hold on, since when does famine and bombardment not kill pops? I lost a colony once, it was being bombarded enough that the pops couldn't grow food. One day, every pop on the planet just...vanished. The enemy didn't capture it, it simply reverted to being an uninhabited world.

Also the famine modifier stuck around until I eventually recolonized. Was worried that the new pops would just instantly die >_>

Tiruin is starfire

That is 100% canon
It's like people forget that Star was the leader of a Proud Warrior Race and killed the shit out of a bunch of aliens (admittedly with a heaping truckload of justification). They just remember the mustard and the constant cheerfulness from the TV show.  :P
>implying Tiruin isn't and didn't do

Like both Hillary and Trump.
One more than the other, but basically yeah.

Oh shit
I just realized who Tiruin reminds me of

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Glorious.

Well, spawning additional artifacts is a step in the right direction. Now they just need a way to make events empire-unique.
