I was already wary when they pitched "a year of support and updates" as a bullet point feature. Wonder what happened. Did they cancel some DLC or lose part of the support budget? Maybe they're already planning DBZXV3!

Anyways, how's the game? Servers doing ok?
Servers were, incredibly enough, quite stable yesterday just after launch. Maybe they aren't anymore, maybe they got slammed, but unlike when XV1 was released I had absolutely no issues with connectivity on launch.

I love how they revamped basic combat. It feels far more energetic and fluid now, and scoring a nice sequence of hits is less about exploiting infinite combos and more about proper timing while switching between fast and heavy attacks. Ki blasts, which in XV1 were basically rangespam and did very little damage, now feel as though they matter. You can even charge up your ki blasts, which gives them different effects depending on your "super soul". Now everyone can have paralysis attacks, or explosives, or homing. It's very cool. The AI seems less prone to spamming them as well, thank Kami.

Training's been improved. Now the trainers are just standing around on the map, and you can easily learn new moves from all of them. No more loading and reloading the hub world, hoping that the trainer you want will randomly spawn!

Story is weak, rehashing some of XV1's so far. Most of the time patrols so far are nearly identical to the first game's, with one notable exception:

I feel it's worth noting that I only beat the Saiyan saga so far, so perhaps Namek will bring in some new surprises.

Basically, it's "more of the same but better". That's basically all I was hoping for, but if you weren't all that fond of XV1 you probably won't be too fond of this either.

I saw a community update that said Friday the 28th. Of course, I assumed that would be Steam Local Time, which is my time. Apparently not. It's unlocked now :D

I'll probably be getting Rowlett. I'm not sure what a grass/ghost typing will bring to the table (other than more weaknesses, which kinda sucks), but I can't say no to an owl-archer.

Cosmog looks awesome. I will catch a male and name it Lovecraft.

I also dig the guardian pokemon. Though I saw 4 islands and only saw 3 guardians in the video...

I really need to get around to actually reading Lovecraft's work. I have a collection of his work, I have no excuse.

Steam says the release date is tomorrow, not today. Pre-loading is available, but that's it ;~;

Oh man, catmeat? I'm honestly not surprised. He kinda spooked me.

Mainiac lasted a while though. He was nice when we wasn't salty.
Basically my thoughts. And mainiac's been awful salty lately, pretty much any time I read one of his posts in recent months.

Hocrap, two bans in as many days?!

Did Catmeat and mainiac get into a knock-down all-out brawl or something?

Mossdeep City Gym was such an absurd cakewalk, I can't help but wonder if I super-trained my pokemon into OPness or if I just chose wisely. The unofficial combat log is as follows:

Sirus sends in Heracross and Sceptile.
Liza and Tate send in Solrock and Lunatone.

ROUND 1
Sceptile uses Mega Drain on Solrock. Solrock is in the red.
Heracross uses Megahorn on Solrock. Solrock is in the ded.
Lunatone uses Light Screen.

ROUND 2
Sceptile uses X-Scissor on Lunatone. Lunatone is in the red.
Heracross uses Brick Break on Lunatone. Light Screen is destroyed, as is Lunatone.

Battle over, badge get. I don't think I've ever beaten a gym leader in just two turns before.

I have this recurring and very annoying issue where the game basically corrupts spontaneously. Hotkeys suddenly no longer work or change completely, many things can't be clicked on, visual bugs pop up...

It becomes virtually unplayable. The only half-way decent solution I have is to re-install.

Manually Uncompress and recompress the save, I've started to do it after I notice a lot of that stuff disappear while save game editing.
You're gonna have to explain that process for me. Also it happens with brand new, unsaved games.

Aloisturm just stares at the dandy meatbag, not appreciating the once-over it was receiving.

"Confirmed."

"Question. Where is this Rust Dragon?"
