Been playing a lot of Caves of Qud. It's lightweight enough that my aging computer can usually handle it no problem, but crunchy enough that there's a ton of different ways to play. I love the spritework and visual effects, it's a nice change from roguelikes being ASCII.

Now if only I could stop dying all the time :P

Voting A. Folks who wanted to work for a particular group, here's your chance.

Besides, winding up bankrupt is better than winding up dead, which is the likeliest outcome for failing scenarios B, C, or D.

Voting for C as well.

@ Mus'ad

Mordecai nodded thoughtfully. He still wasn't certain how much he believed these claims of divination, but at least Mus'ad's explanation made sense. Sort of.

: "So basically, short-term predictions in calm environments are the easiest to make? You've certainly given me some food for thought. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to provide a great deal of information on your own question, though."

@ Isabella

Mordecai did in fact know of Isabella's "reputation", having overheard many a student wistfully sigh over the plant girl's perceived unattainability. He gave a small smile of sympathy as he sat at the indicated table; after all, he also found himself alone more often than not. Albeit for entirely different reasons.

: "I understand completely. I like this idea of yours, it seems like a good way to meet people. Perhaps I may steal it." The vampire smiled again, to show he was joking.

@ Reeve

: "Y-yes, I think I see your point." Mordecai, to say the least, was not used to running full-out for minutes at a time, and he was about as winded as Reeve (perhaps owing to the robes he wore). "No doubt I will feel the rewards in the morning when I'm trying to get out of bed. I suppose that was your master plan all along." The vampire massaged his burning leg muscles, trying to get the ache out of them enough to continue on.

The problem isn't facemasks. The problem is that people are idiots. Other than total isolation and quarantine, the best way to avoid infection is to take multiple precautions. This includes masks, hand washing and/or sanitizing, and of course the ever-popular social distancing.

Like you said though, people are idiots and will do the bare minimum in the hopes that it will be all that is required.

Hold.

@ Tea Party

Mordecai cautiously let himself into the room and sat down.

: "You are...Isabella, right? From Class 3-C." He felt like he should apologize for something, though he didn't know what for. Being on the winning team?

: "I admit, your request got me curious. Not the sort of thing one would expect to find on a bulletin board. So, what's the plan?"

@ Reeve

The vampire sensed that the time for talk was over, and just let himself run alongside Reeve. She was surprisingly quick once she got her second wind!

@ Reeve

: "That's the spirit. Keep this up and you'll be running miles in no time." Mordecai was starting to feel winded himself by this time, though in his case it was the combination of jogging and talking at the same time. He wasn't so used to the latter yet, but it was a change in routine he appreciated.

@ Chuuni Girl
After watching the strange girl leave, Mordecai shook his head in disbelief and headed upstairs. Upon finding the clubrooms, he began going from door to door. At each one he checked inside (knocking first if the door was closed), looking to see if anyone seemed to be preparing and/or drinking tea.

@ Mus'ad

: "Well, I suppose that's true. It seems like your mid-battle predictions are pretty accurate. You're not really supporting your 'secret' on the other hand; what I'm getting is that diviners who make specific predictions can be either fake or genuine and there isn't much of a way to tell the difference."

Milly J-9, attack Croupier.
Marta to K-10, attack Bachelorette.
Vlad to J-10, perform M&M.
Repeat the above attacks if targets are still alive. Otherwise:
Milly to J-13 and attack the other Bachelorette.
Marta to N-9 and attack the Bandit.
Rosencrantz to K-6 and attack the Bouncer with Steel Dagger.
Serena to K-7 and heals Rosencrantz.

Mordecai rather doubted that Felix (or whoever had been running the shop when this strange girl showed up) had trembled or gasped. Shook with laughter, maybe.

: "I...suppose that is certainly possible, yes. Stranger things have happened. Listen, I just came here because of a request to have tea with someone in this wing. You wouldn't happen to know who I'm looking for, would you?"

The vampire had a sinking feeling the moment the words left his lips. No, surely not...
