Many years back there was some sort of handheld game that involved scanning barcodes to collect mons, so that's probably close enough.

Okay. Looking at how the revised turn went, I think Ann should hold onto the concoction. I can't grab it and then heal anyone (the positioning is all bad), which means it will be the next turn at least until anyone gets up. If Harlan gets hit (and knowing his luck, he will), he goes down. He goes down with the concoction, Lilly dies.
On the other hand, I have a 98% chance to kill the weak Shell (I deal just barely enough damage in a single hit), and if that works out the remaining Shell can't down Ann without a crit. She has the HP, RES, and AS to survive a tussle with the Shell. On the Ally phase, she can then heal Lilly up, and Lilly can either get back to performing or do some heals on the next turn.
Comments, please. I'm a bit out of touch and out of whack and I may have missed something obvious.
