Its funny how watching this awesome person shoot random guns always makes me happy.
It's a shame that guns are misused so often, because I would love for this sort of pastime to be more readily accessible. Just shooting random, sometimes strange guns at various things.

I shot a couple of handguns once and had a blast, but that's the extent of my shootin'.

Bizarre ant colony in abandoned Polish nuclear weapons bunker.  :D

So apparently there was an ant colony built directly above a ventilation pipe. The ants fall in the ventilation pipe and can't crawl back up, so they join this new colony of half-starved, half-frozen, non-reproducing ants with no queen who gets its population entirely from these fallen ants.

Its basically ant hell.  They stack the corpses of their dead into massive ant-cemeteries.  They don't have much food, but the researchers think they might be getting enough nutrients (to support some of them) from either the bat-shit or the dead-ant eating mites who live in the ant-graveyard.
This is pretty much the definition of metal  :o

I'd love to see an expanded version of CiV's Gods And Kings expansion brought to Stellaris. Being able to actually build your religion from the ground up, rather than picking between Space Christianity and Space Buddhism, would be pretty sweet and allow for plenty of difference between different spiritualist Empires. Plus, this would open the door for spin-off sects to emerge and you'd be able to decide what to do about them.

Widdershins Master Meatbag enters Aloisturm in the strength contest, as well as the martial arts exhibition. He cackles the entire time. Aloisturm goes along with it.

Two things to mention:
- Titan Quest just received a huge anniversary update fixing many bugs(including the ones in fanpatches) and multiplayer(it used gamespy). If you don't own it already hurry and grab a copy, because it's receiving major discounts on all distribution platforms to celebrate(and give a chance to people who only owned the retail version to get hold of the anniversary edition for a small price)
Now I'm angry, because I'll swear up and down that I had Titan's Quest on one digital platform or another and now I can't find hide nor hair of it.

Shield Dust prevents effects that are in addition to damage; Psychic attacks can't cause confusion, Bite can't cause flinching, etc. On the other hand, moves that just cause effects (Supersonic, Thunder Wave, and so on) will still work.

Magic Guard basically blocks all damage that isn't the result of a direct attack. Burns and poison won't deal DoT (though the pokemon is still afflicted and burns still lower physical attack power), but it also renders moves like Leech Seed ineffective. It also supposedly prevents recoil damage from moves like Take Down, which I'm not sure Pidove can learn anyway.

I somehow managed to get home tonight...but I'm flipping exhausted. Sorry for breaking my implied promise ._.

Have a short update to meet the newest member of the team!

As you can see, it's a pretty standard bird...with a very non-standard ability. Combined with Meutre's Shield Dust, Blanc's team looks to be pretty well-protected from various nastiness.

Shame that Vol's ability is completely useless to her, but they can't all be winners.

Battlefield 1's beta. Not the server DDoSing, but the game itself.

"Hey guys let's make the next Buttholefield set in WWI!"
"Yeah but let's give everyone SMGs and automatic rifles because they're lazy shitheads who can't aim a bolt-action without a scope."
"Yeah!"

Also the one-man light tank can mount an autocannon which can fire canister shells. Literally armored automatic shotgun on treads.
I so badly wish I were surprised by this.

The War in Heaven DLC they mentioned in the new Dev Diary sounds super exciting
This does sound pretty cool, but only if awakenings remain somewhat rare. No one is going to want Fallen Empires waking up in the fusion stage to curb stomp the galaxy - at least, not in every game.

Hey, I don't like GFWL either but surely calling the people that made it "animals" is a bit much.

So I've been mixing up my own gorp for road snacks/breakfasts, trying to pack plenty of energy into each bag. I guess it works; a single cup-sized serving in the morning can often keep me going until dinner, sometimes 12+ hours.

I've been thinking about what else I could possibly add that would A) go well with the rest of the components, and B) not need refrigeration. So far I have m&ms, mixed nuts, dried cranberries, dried banana slices, and small yogurt-covered pretzels. I mix them in a bowl by hand (no particular ratios or measurements, just eyeballing it) before portioning it out in plastic bags.

Getting real tired of these impossible assignments. I shouldn't have to object to every other load appointment  just because the planners are unable or unwilling to do their job right, and I'm getting the sick feeling that my justified objections are going to be held against me at some point.

Today, for instance, I was nearly 3 hours late for an appointment. I had been telling them since Monday morning that I would be late, and my estimated arrival was very close to how it actually turned out.
