Alright, finally got Stellaris working again and I'm checking out the mods. Installed some, ignored others.So this game has been released for a while. What sort of mods do people recommend?I actually built a necessary mod list while we were working on the multiplayer

People are so kind here.Nah, we're a bunch of mean jerks (aside from the obvious exceptions like Tiruin). We're just slightly less jerkish towards each other sometimes.
Was in my Raven Huginn, circling around to find a good spot to pop my UAV and backstab someone, when I found an AFK Cataphract. Natch I decided to take the chance to get a free headshot kill. Only, as soon as I fired my first SRMs, the pilot loaded in/got back/whatever and started lighting me up--he had a pretty decent balanced build, a couple ERLLas, a couple ACs, a couple MLas. A fresh all-ranges heavy against my partially stripped light.I think I understood a single acronym in that whole mess.
Stomped him into the mud, he eventually gave up and tried to run away to his team. Then he gave up on that and tried to back into a corner, but by then I already had his CT cored. :VSpoiler (click to show/hide)
Nothing cute has happened in weeks it seems.I'm not at all convinced that that was real. Looked like a toy of some kind.

You know, I want to make a base on a tabula rasa world, but every single one of them looks dumb AF.Is that your name for the barren worlds, or are tabula rasa worlds something else?

I found DADOES to be the bad sort of a rambling read, creating far too many plot points and concepts and leaving most of them completely unanswered (or answered in an unsatisfactory manner), before ending in a fashion that made me wonder what exactly the point of the entire mess was.The book wasn't that bad. I thought it was one of his better ones.Basically just watch Blade Runner.Only if it's better than the book. The book was pretty terrible.
And it is only loosely based on the book. No Mercerism at all.
