General Discussion / Re: Things that made you go "WTF?" today o_O
« on: March 17, 2016, 01:17:03 pm »
Today is a day of shame and disgrace for America, a day of cultural appropriation so base and so ingrained that even many of the most hardened champions of ethnic segregation remain silent as the rich heritage of a persecuted people is pillaged for superficial artifacts to be used for the entertainment of the descendents of their oppressors and others, many of whom share no connection at all with anyone involved. How dare people not even of yuropeen extraction don green garments reading "Kiss me, I'm Irish,"; do they not even understand how offensive that is?

This...this is awesome. Thank you.

How many people are still playing this? Is there a realm of some sort where Bay Watchers are gathering?

I just heard about this game today and it is seriously scratching an itch that hasn't been touched since I left Battlemaster.

Is your spine not made of several sections, Descan?

I know we call it the "backbone" but it really is multiple segments.

This is basically the same thing as the WTF thread, really.
And this is the third or fourth time he's tried to remake one of the emotion threads.
I think he might be trying to become the Shitposting King.

The girl from the 15 episode of RWBY volume one (geez that's really specific). She's so strange, and what's worse is she reminds me of me. Or maybe that's a good thing. I dunno :P
You talking about Penny? Yeah, she's not half-bad.

...did you write down the plate numbers and give them to the police?

No. Probably should have. I don't know what he wanted. Wouldn't say. Just said he'd pay me if I went with him for an hour or two.
Best you can do is write down his appearance, maybe anything about the van that you remember. Seriously, this story reeks of a kidnapping-in-the-making.

EDIT: Whoa what happened there

Either my family is insane or they've been running into people with telepathy. Or spirits.

A man walked up to my nan, and told her to "Trust in Jesus". This was at the hospital. He was probably just trying to keep peoples' spirits up, I think.

A woman walked up to my mom in Walmart. Helped her pick out a rug. Then told her to "be strong".

Meanwhile, all I get is propositioned by an elderly asian man. Parked by the side of a highway while I was walking home, asks me to come into the back of his van for two hours, and that he'd pay me. I said no.

I wouldn't mind being a potential love interest but it isn't necessary.

Bring a boombox with a Eurythmics Greatest Hits cassette and get the laser show going. Nobody can throw you out of your own party.
Depends on where you throw it. I imagine that libraries aren't the best place for impromptu concerts, ferex.

What's the point of a toe that shoots lasers though? You'd burn up your footwear and singe your foot every time you fired it.
Now a FINGER that shoots lasers, that would be awesome.

@ Yoink: You're probably gonna have to visit a doctor some day. Either bite the bullet and go in for something relatively minor (or your toe) or suffer even more stress and anxiety for a major problem.

Must have been bitten by the Inspiration Bug. I know that most of my essay writing started by staring blankly at a monitor until it struck.

TBH I'm just disappointed that they never integrated player-built ships as an alternative to the shitty, poorly laid-out default ones. Some of the best fun I had in Starbound was building my asteroid treeship.
This is sadly all too true.

Maybe I'll fire up Starbound again, one day, and cruise the forums looking for such a mod.

...Isn't Pam a middle-age redneck drunk who sits on the couch and watches soap operas all day?
You misspelled 'love' and 'life' there...
Sits on the love and watches life all day?

Huh... maybe I should have seen a doctor about my injured (possibly broken or fractured) toe.
Now it seems to have healed, or at least stopped hurting, but it's... kinda misshapen.   :-[
It's not that big a deal, but I used to have beautiful toes, especially the big one, and now one of them looks like the fuckin' Quasimodo of the Toe World.
Why didn't you see a doctor earlier, again?

Ritiki thinks for a moment before whispering to Jehane in Draconic.
