42-1 eyed the "burger". Some sort of ground-beef sandwich, it seemed. Harmless enough.
: "Oh yes, that was indeed one of the requirements for registration. As I was concerned that the discussion regarding names might extend past the deadline to register plus the matter appeared to have been abandoned in favor of food, I took it upon myself to supply a name to the guild."
The butler was quite proud of himself for the accomplishment, minor though it was. Perhaps this was why the humans in the group seemed so eager to provide himself with a name. Perhaps he would have to give the matter some genuine thought. For the moment however, he handed out the slips of parchment to everyone present.
: "We are now proud members of Team F."

Fortunately, 42 was literate thanks to being ordered to transcribe Old Master's notes/ramblings often enough. He signed the forms, filling out everything he knew to the best of his ability.

On the one hand, the homunculus wasn't the leader of his strange party and probably had no authority. On the other hand, his companions were far too obsessed about names for their own good, and 42-1 estimated a chance in excess of 22% that the argument over what to call the racing team would continue past the point that the race begun. Perhaps they would appreciate a show of initiative.

42 was flummoxed. Why in Generia would a team that wasn't the sixth team call themselves Team 6? How did that make any sense at all, even for Revivians?
