Cove, actually.

Huh, it does seem to save in battle. Probably to prevent savescumming. Finished that run with great success and some nice loot. Also finally braved up enough to attempt a veteran boss run on the siren. Holy shit, while the battles leading up to here weren't too hard I had to pull out. That scaly bitch stole my bounty hunter on turn one and proceeded to murder my plague doctor with him. Occultist barely got out too :C

No idea how I'll handle her tho, stuns maybe? Tho she's damn resistant to them it seems as all of them failed. And that 190 hp is a bitch to get trough when she takes your main source of damage which then causes your secondary source of damage to move into a position where he can't actually plague grenade her anymore :V
From what I saw on a Vinesauce video, bringing along 4 holy waters (one for each party member, take them before entering the boss room) helps quite a bit to prevent the siren from stealing your party members. Stacking stuns and DoTs helps. Basically, the player managed to kill the Siren in only a few turns without taking a single point of damage.

Have you tried training your rangers to focus on concealment rather than swords? Give them an assault rifle instead of a shotgun, let them sneak around to flank already-activated enemies.

You shouldn't have lost it at all :o
In my experience the autosaving is really good in this game, it will even save in-battle for you.

Okay, but I don't get the happy?
Pretty sure it's because MaxZero lost some weight.

Speaking of which, congrats!

Are these cross-class abilities in addition to their normal selections, or do they replace a normal class ability?

Hey, don't look at me to defend this interpretation. I said twice I don't agree with it. But that's what the writer was trying to get at, I think, and that post was in response to Bowtie saying they didn't get it.
Bleh, sorry. My school was reasonably progressive but they pretty much never talked about this sort of thing :x

For two, the cis person is saying "I've never known any trans people," and the translator is saying he "assumes he can tell when someone is trans," because if he couldn't tell that someone is trans, then he wouldn't say he "never met one," because he would know he could have but not known it. Meaning that he'd be saying that no trans person can pass as their gender.

As I said for this one, I'd chalk it up to poor wording at worst, so it's a bit hard to translate something that I don't agree with. Have to get into their head, yeah? :U
But according to you he didn't say he's "never met one", he said he's "never known one". Which exactly means that he could have met a trans person but not known it, like you said.

Like, hell, I've probably met a few trans or gay people back in the day. Doesn't mean I knew it at the time.

What is skulljacking useful for, aside from the main objective where you have to hack an Advent Officer?

Guess none of my mecs survived that long. I only ever saw them with a flamethrower and a power fist to go with the heavy gun.

And they start with an action that destroys cover.
Sure, by running up to it. Which would then leave them open to getting blasted. And god help you if some of that cover was explosive.

Mecs never seemed to be anything more than a novelty to me. Once the charm of punching things runs out you're left with a big hunk of machine that has low-ish accuracy, lacks explosives, can't take cover, and can't be healed with medkits. I found gene-modded soldiers to be a far more reliable and versatile means of spending meld.
