So apparently skeleton keys no longer disable traps or open secret compartments on chests. I've tried twice now, each time was told that the key had no effect (lost the key, of course), and then triggered a trap when I opened the chest.

Also there are debuffs that last until camp.

So that's fun.

Ritiki returned the notkin's polite greeting before ushering his wife and daughter to the fore of the third ship, eager to catch the first glimpse of their new home.

Harlan found Harold sitting on a bench near a road, watching people passing by with his backpack next to him looking about to burst. Harold waved to him when his brother walked into his line of sight.

: Hey there, big brother. Any news?
Harlan joined his brother on the bench. He needed a breather anyway.

: "Not much, little brother, and most of it not good. Sounds like Ixion's all over the place." He cast a glance at Harold's backpack.

: "What's all this?"

Am I going to have to start a new file in order to see the new stuff? I'm not all that far in, but my current run isn't going horribly yet and I'd rather not abandon it unless I have to.

Carbon is basically the Superman of elements at this point. Seems like every decade or so it gains new power and abilities out of nowhere :P

: "Sounds like a plan. I'm guessing the rest of the group will be back at that church, so just head there once you're done."

Harlan went off to find his brother.

In a similar vein, at some point in my childhood, a person, presumably not a very literature-conscious one, decided to get a cheerful animated film to watch with me. As luck would have it, they believed that something called "Animal Farm" must be fairly child-friendly. Given that children's stories were not Mister Orwell's area of expertise, I feel they were operating under a misconception. Not a great film to watch at age ten.
Huh. I remember watching an "Animal Farm" film at a younger age as well, only my version wasn't animated. Still spooked by it.
