: "Hrm. Dancing in battle does not seem very useful to me, but I will pay attention should we find ourselves in one. I suppose there must be some reason for your commander to keep the cu--Milos around." Raajak ate some more, trying not to spill too much now that he had a neighbor at the table. When Claire asked about laguz dance, the tiger thought for a moment before answering.

: "I have not heard of any laguz, beast or bird, performing magical dances in battle. I myself dance very little. That cat had the look of a noble about him, though, so he may know more on the subject. Or perhaps the princess, if you would rather not deal with him."

: "Hrr, enough about the cat. What is your role in this company? Surely you cannot all be dancers."

Guard Aura.

I wouldn't call it a waste of time, necessarily. I learned that maybe multiplayer Dominions is outside my skill level, as per the usual with competitive games :P

829
Raajak looked up from his meal of human-style meat at Claire's question. He liked the seasoning well enough, but apparently humans overcooked their food and it wasn't as juicy as he would have preferred.

: "I have not, no. I do not know much of dance, but it seemed very unusual. Do all humans dance that way?"

830
P-15, throw knives at Merchant C in a non-lethal fashion.

831
Raajak bowed his head to the prince, then lowered his voice to a level that could not be heard clear across the room.

: "That much I believe, Aya. The only part I question is whether I will wish to meet all of those sorts." Raajak watched in some puzzlement at Milos' antics. "What is the cub doing? I was under the impression he did not know how to fight, even with human tools."

832
: "You mean smoking while your comrades fight each other? I do not know if that appeals to me.

"...On the other hand, I do want to return to Sampia as soon as possible. If your group is heading that way, I could see myself tagging along, at least for a while."

833
Raajak returned to his feet, feeling foolish. Even with his limited understanding of table manners and diplomacy, he knew he had messed up everyone's first impression of him.

Well, he could live with that when it came to that cat, Joachim. Slinky bastard.

834
: "Enough." Raajak rose to his feet, looking steadily at the unnamed cat.

: "I don't know what issue you have with the cub, but you are acting like a bully. Is this what the cat warriors are reduced to, making interruptions at meal time in order to loom over human children?"

835
Aww yeah, tanky tiger is a go. Shame about the low STR, but oh well.

836
: "Hrr, sorry. I have little experience with your kind. I meant no offense." He truly didn't; he might not have liked humans all that much but he didn't dislike them either, and he almost certainly owed his life to these ones. At the very least, they didn't seem to be more slavers.

C-9, stab Skelly P!

838
: "Hrm. You three are related? You are all Steelharts?" Raajak wasn't sufficiently familiar with human groupings to tell for sure. The tiger laguz selected a seat near Aya, the only person in the gathering he knew.

839
Ice, and the +2 MT option.

840
Raajak, who felt much better now that he was allowed to properly groom himself, followed Aya into the hall and raised a callused hand in greeting. Humans and birds alongside fellow beasts? Well, Aya always had kept strange company.

: "It is good to meet you, comrades of Aya. I am Raajak Khan, a prisoner of the slavers until a few days ago. I understand you all had something to do with putting an end to them for good?"
