Harlan shrugged.

: "Don't worry about it. People usually aren't pleased to meet me in the best of times either."

(9,11)

: "I can see a door to the right, and more stairs up ahead."

Those fireballs came close enough to singe the thief's hair.

: "It's Harlan. Thanks for the warning, miss...?"

Uhhhhh.....

Hug? I dunno.

Nope (although I do have The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide in that style). This one is primarily blue and black, with ridges in the binding and a trippy holographic image of...stars? nebula?...on the front cover, while the pages have silver edges.

No joke, when I saw the word "Lovecraft" on the cover I almost thought it was the Necronomicon or something :P

* Sirus flails happily

We finally got around to actually celebrating my birthday today. Went out to lunch, enjoyed great food and 1-and-a-half alcoholic drinks (a record!). Came home, scored three great gifts: the next book in an ongoing sci-fi series that I've been meaning to continue, a box of Blood Angels Death Company marines, and an awesome

hard-cover copy of H.P. Lovecraft's collected works of fiction. And later in the evening we all went out for frozen yogurt.

: "Good eye, brother. Let's see here..."

Harlan moves to J-12 and effortlessly snatches the Knight's Crest! The thief briefly wondered if the Ixani knight would commit suicide after suffering such a disgrace.

Dan leaned back in his chair, feet propped on the damage control console in Engineering. As Chief Mechanic (a role he had invented), there wasn't much for him to do until things started breaking.

Order some space coffee.

: "I think...we should probably write these numbers down, exactly as they are listed. We might well need them."

The nun put her words to action, producing a writing stick and a scrap of parchment, and copying the numbers and names.

This is why meet-ups are a thing. I now know that there are actual people behind at least a few of you Bay12 chatbots :P

Amberly nodded.

: "I've never heard of this 'Atlas Port', but I imagine it was also a pre-Shattering facility. Perhaps destroyed, or maybe buried like Mure. And Estel was one of the Old Goddesses, blessed with the power of Communication. It is said that she could speak to anyone in Old Alvada, anytime she wished."

A dreadnought is basically armed, armored, and walking life support for a critically injured Marine. Considering how advanced Imperial medicine is (in some areas) and an individual Marine's ability to shrug off punishment, I'm guessing that yes, becoming a dreadnought is more or less permanent.

I haven't been having very much trouble with the designer at all. I've built supports that charge ahead to encircle enemy fleets, flagships with weapons that can destroy entire planets (given time), jack-of-all-trades capital ships that bristle with smaller weaponry, etc. Never read any guides until just now.
