Playing Artificial Academy 2, with a mod adding some Touhou characters. Thanks to the random character select(I swear), there's only two male characters in the class - my player character(not randomly added in) is one. A game week in, the relationship web is insane. My girlfriend(not a Touhou character) has two girlfriends of her own(as far as I know, she never slept with either one, so I'll allow it for now). Cheating is running rampant.

But that's not what happened for this post. One evening, I'm running off to the gym take care of some... biological imperatives with my girlfriend, and I see Flandre and one of her ex-girlfriends talking in the hallway. I'm already in the next room. Then, I hear an absolutely blood-curdling scream as the screen fades to red, and fades back in at home to change to the next day(with no option to save!). I check the roster, and find that the other girl's portrait is replaced with an image of a flower. Homeroom the next morning has the announcement that "there was in incident resulting in the injury of a student. The suspect is still at large".

Then that very evening, I was running off to the library(again for sex), when I see Flandre and Marisa in the hallway. I'm already in the library(but before anything else), when again, there's a scream. The next morning, Marisa is gone. Holy shit I'm worried now.

The game is definitedly nastier. I'm having *real* money problems. To the point that I'm resorting to what I once thought was "twinkish": increase the wagon straight off to 4 heroes so that if worse comes to worst, I can push myself back into the green through consecutive suicide runs.

In fact, I find that it is most prudent to, at least at the start, send your level-up heroes with throwaway squads. If the redshirts start to die, time to retreat and call it a day.

Problem will come when my favorites start to level up and I have to send them into nasty runs. I'm guessing I'll have to play far more conservative then and offset the difference with noob suicide runs.

Do I want to know?

In order of production, it goes ACMI 1 -> ACSR 1 -> ACMI 2 -> ASCR S. In chronological order, it goes ACSR 1 -> ACSR S = ACMI 1  -> ACMI 2.

Personally, I watched them in order of production and it was fine, but it would have worked just as well if I started with Railgun instead. Only thing I'd say is to make sure you watch Index 1 before Railgun S and not after, because S and Index share an arc, but S was made later so it has way better production values and is quite a bit more detailed.
