Other Games / Re: Terraria - 1.3 released. Big Patch!

Fuck this. Medusa is god damned unbeatable. You can't even be on the same fucking SCREEN as her and NOT get stunlocked to death for 25 damage a piece, let alone if there's something else in the room! Yes, I started on expert. Yes, I expect to get my ass handed to me. I don't expect for there to be an impossible to kill enemy that isn't even a fucking boss waiting for me in the caverns making it impossible for me to collect materials.

Have any of you found a way to even hurt the bitch? Let alone kill her?

Wear a blindfold, use a mirror shiield, a reflective amulet, or polymorph into a creature that's already made of stone.

nobody's gonna get the joke
Nethack, maybe?

Goodness is expert... REALLY hard.

I actually appreciate the two modes significantly.

One is great for single player without making it impossible to progress unless you are "leet".

While the other is great for multiplayer.

Which finally there is a balance... Since honestly it was not fun being stuck in single player because the bosses were WAY too tough in early Terraria (I remember Skeletron who was actually unbeatable solo unless you skipped the dungeon tier)... and it wasn't fun being WAY overpowered for everything in multiplayer.

Sucks that the game essentially wiped my progress... >_< it took forever to get my collection and houses and now they are gone.
Skeletron? Unbeatable? Not even.

Never liked Ashley all that much for any number of reasons, but that is certainly one of them. She's a lot like the Turian Councillor :P

As for the whole manly back thing, uh...I hear people find muscly fit girls attractive. So, like, you could have that going for you in the future. I guess. Shit I'm not good at talking with people about gender and stuff sorry.
I mean, I do. Whether muscley or squish, big girls are <3

That said, I am from Canada, and we need all hands on deck for when Winter arrives. Batten down the hatches, barricade the windows and doors, and when the crop fails, we need our reserves of bubble butts to survive!

* Descan may be a wee bit drunk.

still, muscley girls are <3

But aren't you gay? :/
As another gay person, I must agree that muscley girls are greater than three.
Colon three.
That would be "less than" three. Greater than three would be >3

016 Pidgey

Pidgey are very docile and nondescript. They are usually easy to be around, but if panicked can lash out at those close to them.

...yep

So I've been giving so-called "kinetic novels" a shot; VNs that have no choices or gameplay basically. The one I completed last week was "planetarium: reverie of a little planet".

Posting to invade Sirus's farm red phantom style watch. I, too, have fond memories of renting the original HM and staying up until dawn to play it, and I enjoyed the two GBA games so this could be cool.
Why would you invade my farm in particular? :P

Friends of Mineral Town was my first HM game and is possibly still my favorite. It's certainly the yardstick by which I measure all other games in the franchise :p
I really want to get a hold of this thing. Come on dev, at least get a Steam store page up already...

Huh. I thought that if any of your squad members survive, then Shep doesn't die.

I accidentally 8 hours of mount and blade.

I forgot how nice having pretty much zero responsibilities could feel.

All the envy.
This so much :P

My "canon" Shep is a Soldier, and I never regretted it. Funnily enough he also uses the Mattock rifle in ME3 :P

Dammit. I think my character got all of two lines :/

General Discussion / Re: I like anime, do you like anime?

This is probably a weird thing to be bugged by and probably marks me as a hopeless casual when it comes to anime, but the lack of blood in those scenes is kinda throwing me for a loop. You've got people getting stabbed in the torso, faces slashed, one particularly nasty wound where some guy gets ripped up the middle, but in most cases there isn't even much of a mark to denote the injury. Some bruising and a little blood from a relatively minor shoulder wound, and that's it.

Don't get me wrong, the animation itself is amazing and I really wish there was more awesome spear-fighting in the media. Though that "prince" looks more like a princess (assuming I'm looking at the right character in the first couple of scenes).

Yeah the lack of gore kinda bugged me a bit in Moribito. Though I eventually got used to it and it is a great anime regardless. N' I don't think being bugged by that "marks you as a casual" when it comes to anime considering that quite a few of them are hyper-violent.

Also, the prince isn't exactly supposed to be a manly man so that might have been intentional. He looks more masculine once he gets his hair cut.
...So the woman in the last few fight scenes wasn't the prince? Huh. I figured that since they had somewhat-similar looks, they were the same person but perhaps after a time-skip of some years :P

Yup, watched all of them too. Great suggestions nonetheless. What's Moribito about? Is it dubbed?

EDIT: I've actually watched those anime over the course of about a year. I don't have Netflix. I just watch it online.

Moribito is good, I have no idea about the dub.

It's essentially a fantasy drama about a bodyguard protecting a prince from assassins, due to him becoming possessed by a demon. A lot of stuff about spirituality, with one of the few strong female protagonists in anime.
The fight scenes are relatively brief, but really well animated and intense.

This. Moribito's required viewing if it's even remotely similar to your interests. The fights have excellent choreography; here's a good sample without any pesky spoiling subs.

So many bad rolls tonight, good god x_x

Three of us wound up accidentally drinking promethium, the chef missed six close-range shotgun blasts, and we got hopelessly lost.
