Bio:
Born and raised to a highborn Ormian family, Hildebrand serves as the arms trainer for Prince Aliberti. His early years were spent learning the ways of chivalry and warfare as a squire, and during these years of constant training he became a devout follower of Gaab.
Once a respected tournament fighter, Hildebrand was badly wounded in one jousting event when an errant lance thrust pierced his helmet and scored a long, deep gash across his face. Hildebrand blacked out from the pain and fell badly from his horse, injuring his spine. Such wounds would have been crippling were it not for the work of skilled healers, and even with their magic he was bed-ridden for months. Only just recently on his feet again after his long recovery, Hildebrand has lost much of his former might and skill. He still expects nothing but the best from his young liege and protege, however.
Outside of battle (or the training field), Hildebrand is a man of chivalry and honor. Once the fighting begins however he is pure ferocity, feared for his uncanny ability to strike at an enemy's weak points. His only rule in battle is that he does not harm any healers, on his side or the other. If they try to attack they are fair game, but his respect for the healing arts has grown tremendously since his recuperation and so simple priests and sisters have nothing to fear from him.
***If Uxie's character gets in, continue***
As a gently-born knight, Hildebrand is of course expected to take a squire. His chosen squire is a young boy named Ciel, after witnessing the younger man's talent for archery and sensing the raw potential still buried away. He paid off the debt collectors following Ciel around in exchange for the boy's oath of fealty, and now teaches Ciel how to ride horses and how to use what Hildebrand views as "true weapons". Progress is slow on that second part, not helped by Hildebrand's injury delaying proper training for several months.
