Yes i know, and there is so much stone i cant do ANYTHING!  :'(

Also i know you need to muddy the stone ect, but i was told you cant do farms above ground, but if you can, how?
-gather some plants
-brew them to get seeds
-build a farming plot(above ground)
-???
-PROFIT!

Why would the people on one side of the wall want to deliver food to the people on the other side of the wall?
I want the freaking cow to explode on impact!

Giving [NO_EAT] to dwarves sometimes gives weird effects. I got a world where dwarven territory spreads over 3/4 of the map. And the goblin civ got wiped out...

In the current release, that is impossible. But you can build your own erupting volcano. There was a thread about it somewhere...

Yeah, mud can be used for an above ground farm as long as the right tile is present. My bad.

You can grow under-ground plants on any under ground tile with soil or mud.
You can grow above-ground plants on any above ground tile with soil or mud.
Once a tile is exposed to light, it is permanently above ground, even if you build a roof above it.
Above-ground plants can't grow on mud.

Any road will increase road value. Blocks are worth more than regular stone, so you might want to build out of those. Anyway, since you are going with low value materials, go for quantity. Or if you are in a rush, build a small road out of something expensive.

I remember Slod, a giant slime with hair and a shell. He was supposed to become my fort pet. I tried to lure him and a blob composed of sludge in to a trap their new home with some doors. They fought with a -stone door- for almost a year... It was really disappointing, but at least I got a shell helmet out of it...
