Believe it or not...i dreamed of Slaves to Armok in the future!
It was a STRANGE dream
I remember i was playing computer,i started the Game and,for
the races, there were a lot of sub-races.For example i remember
i choosed humans and you got options for various sub-races,like
Light and Heavy gravity human. Then as work/profession you could
have choosen Astronaut/General and other things i don't remember
i choosed General and you got even more option. Then when i started
the game i remember that when the character walked it leaved
brown spots on the gras...Then
i awaked

okay it was a stupid dream but i really had it!

i want to say i have the resolution for the "black window problem":you just need to use 16 milion colors, otherwise when you star slaves to armok you will see all black..

Slaves to Armok: God of Blood / sub and stock-races
« on: July 07, 2002, 03:36:00 am »
This is a LOOOOOOOOONG list of possible stock races
I known,i ve altready done another a lot of time ago,but since we
now (almost)have the species editor...

For some of them i have written a little description...
Also..i thought about sub-races.....What do i mean as  sub-races?I
don't mean inferior races...i mean...think to different
kinds of humans,like Northern,Easterlings/Oriental,Western....
They are all humans, but there are some differences...
If you think to it...we currently
have creature variations...we could have "sub-races"variations...
...for example,Northern humans would have pale skin and brighter
eyes and hair..of course only in if in the planet the northern
part is colder...
Maybe ToadyOne could implement sub-races just by having normal
races and making them have different cultures and phsycal stats
depending on where they live for example...

Also,sub-races of different races would be handled differently...
For example, one could choose to play a "Normal,Pure"elf,
but not a "Normal,Pure"human, since he would have to choose
between Easterling Human,Northern Human and similar things...
Of course,there could be "mixed"uman,with more "averaged"stats....

Maybe one should choose his race and then he would see
the sub-race selection screen...In this case it would be more
something like a background,maybe...but,remember,in some cases
sub-races would have more than little differences..think for
example to sea elves, who breathe water, while the normal elves
can't.

Well,here's the list:

Normal Humanoids:

Humans
Elves
Dwarves
Gnomes:If im right, they are very smart and very creative, but they
sometimes make inventions that do not work 100% well..
Leprechauns
Halfling/Hobbit
Giants:There are many kinds of giant, for example...
   Hill Giants
   Fomorian Giants:UGLY giants.
Stone Giants:Giants with stone-like skin and able to
          pass trough stone.
   Frost Giants:Immune to cold.
Sea Giants:Giants who live under the sea...obvious...
   Fire Giants:Immune to fire.
   Cloud Giants
   Storm Giants

The "Goblinoid"family:
Note that im not sure if kobolds and ogres are goblinoids, but
considering them "dog"beastmen seems a bit bad to me...

Kobolds:The small, green creatures that most of us like to kill..
I only known of one possible sub-race..
Goblins:Umh..like orcs but smaller...

Orcs:Well...almost everyone knows how an orc is!

Ogres:Basically,bigger orcs...but even more stupid!

The "beastmen"family:
This includes animal/humanoid creatures.

Klackons:I took the idea from some games..They are sentient ants
who can walk upward...
Also, since ants can produce "formic acid",klackons could produce
acid also..but since they are a lot bigger(human-sized)they
could produce a lot more acid(even if weak).

Cat-mens:Of course somebody would like them...

Gnolls:Hyena-like humanoids...

Minotaurs:Well...i mean....everybody knows what they are!

Lizardmans:Maybe there could be differences between the swamp
and desert ones?

Nagas:Four armed with no legs!They crawl...If im right,i think
they are supposed to always be female, but this is a game,so...

Centaurs:Basically, the mytological creatures with an horse body
and an human torax, head an arms.I also thought to many
    different types of centaurs...think
    Dwarf/big donkey centaur
    Halfling/pony centaur
    Orc or Ogre/bull centaur
    Giant/elepant centaur

Yetis:Well,if they are considered sentient...

"Special","Uncommon"or "Particolar"races,including non-humanoid
non-beastmens:

Ents/Treeents:Moving,thinking,talking trees!

Mind Flayers/Illithids:Four-tentacled,genius-like,
              creatures who eat brains!

Dragons:There could be the standard division by color, like white,
   red,blue,black,or something different!

Beholders:Large creatures with many eyes on eyestalk...Each eye
has a different power,usually a deadly spell.

Trolls:Why special?Because Trolls are KOOOOL!We also have altredy
talked about various kinds of troll, and what are the kinds
of trolls thar regenerate and turn to stone in sunlight...

Demons/Devils:These would be very hard to classify...If im right,
there is also a difference between demons and devils...

Githazanky:Long armed,gray/yellow creatures with natural psionic
talent if im right. Also they are sexless if im right.

Slaves to Armok: God of Blood / about stats
« on: July 07, 2002, 03:35:00 am »
Questions about stats:

Since im doing the manual,i would need to known some things
about stats...

Now,if im right, you have said that PHYSICAL are relative to size.
Right.I would like to known if they are also relative to race.
And,then, are the stats relative to the size OF THE RACE or of
the unique entity?
Also ,the difference between the numbers under "NUMERIC / ADJUSTED"
is that the numeric value would be the value of the stat IF THE
CHARACTER HAD NO RACE MODIFIERS TO IT,while the ADJUSTED number is
the character numeric number plus or minus the modifier.Right?
If yes, then when we get messages about stats increases,it should
put the ADJUSTED number, not the NUMERIC,since the ADJUSTED
is the actual stat.

So Humans,in the 340e version,had,for example,+29 Strenght,
-17 Dexterity and +5 Endurance.

Also,Dexterity is relative to size, but in a different way than
Strength and Endurance,right?
A Giant with 100 Strenght and 100 Dexterity,for example,would
be A LOT STRONGER than an human with the same stats but A LOT
LESS DEXTROUS...right?

Also,since mental stats aren't relative to size(i think),they are
supposed to be "universal"?
Another thing..I have read that WILLPOWER can be trained by
taking wounds...why this does not seem happen?I have read
this on the OLD changes page...

First of all..the Day 24 i had my ORAL EXAMS...i think i went really well....
Im 99,99% sure i have passed the exams...Do you known at what school
im going after the Summer Holidays???
SCIENTIFIC SCHOOL...So i will become some kind of super scientist...actually
a lot of my school-friends used to call me "the mad scientist"......
Think to experiments and mad scientist...The English Written Test
was about.....about...FRANKENSTEIN!Doctor Victor Frankestein...i will
use the Stock creatures editor to become like him...A MAD SCIENTIST!
AHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!
Anyway it was easy...at the oral exam i just talked about Eletricity,The Second World War,
a sicilian writer called "Giovanni Verga"and his books, the monuments of my city(“Saint
Agate of the Goths&#8221 :Different eye placement can cause different vision...
Narrow/front eyes have more depth perception, while wide eyes
have a larger field of vision....Also possible are eyes on stalks(think
to beholders?)and all around vision, for races that have more than 2 or
   3 eyes.

   Hearing :Directional(like humans),Parabolic,Subsonic,
   Ultrasonic,Sonar Vision

   Tact:Crude/Fair/Excellent/other sense of tact...interesting
   for manual skills.

   Taste:For SUPER-human taste,the possibility to train
to determine the chemichal makeup of substances by tasting
   them.

Smell:The RTF oly talks about None/Poor/Average/Good/Excellent
sense of smell....not about "special"kind of smell sense.

   Movement sense:Whiskers,Absolute Direction,Sense of Perception

Balance sense:Think to absence of balance sense or perfection
   of it.Also think to "Catfall".

   Other senses:Radar Sense,Magnetic Sense,Radiation Sense,
   ESP

Sentience/Special mental Abilities:

The RTF quotes:"Intelligence is the ability to solve problems.
Sentience is the ability to make them." -Howard Prau Sessor"

In Slaves to Armok i think we could surely play non-sentient
being...Also the RTF says it is possibile to generate creatures
with high ICQ but not sentient. It also talks about
"presentience, meaning the possibility to become FULLY sentient
   with help.

It also talks about "Special Mental Abilities"..examples
   of this are:

   Absolute Timing,Intuition,Autotrance,Lightning Calculator,
   Eidetic Memory,Fearlessness,Musical Ability,Mathematical
   Ability(both natural),Absolute direction,3d spatial sense,
   No hangover,Compartmentalized Mind,Cultural Adaptability,
Language Talent and natural psionic powers...not to forget "Racial Memory".

Also it talks about "Special Disabilities":

   Split/Multiple Personalities,Chronic Depression,Laziness,Megalomania,Lack of sense of
   humor,Berserk/Bestial/Bloodlust,Weak Will,Sadism

Also it talks about Concentration(Focus Slaves to Armok)..A high concentrated race
could have High Pain Treshold, and some Special Mental Abilities, like Language Talent
   and Musical Ability.
Also a very concentrated race could have natural Mathematical Abilities...

It also talks about other "mental/moral stats",like Suspicion,Imagination(Creativity)
Empathy,Curiosity, and other things...In the Imagination section,i read this somewhere:
"Odious Racial Habit: "Won't shut up about their great ideas!" (-5 points)."
So me and spelguru(sorry spelguru :-) ) have an Odious Racial Habbit :-)

Sciences/Art:For game purposes,the file has a list of Art/Sciences..

Sciences:Biology & Medicine,Weapons,Sublight Space Travel,Power Generation,
Communications & Sensors,Computers or Robotics,Aerospace or Surface Transport,
FTL Travel,Engineering,Materials Science/Chemistry,Exotic

Arts:Games & Diversions,Social Sciences & History,Mathematics,Literature,Visual Arts,
Performing Arts,Music,Psychology,Architecture,Philosophy & Theology,Exotic.

I can't understand what is FTL(Maybe Fast Terrestral Travel?)and why Mathematics,
Social Sciences/History and Psychology are listed as arts...Well,Toadyone...if
Mathematics is an Art,you are an artist...and since Philosophy & Theology are arts,
im an artist too(i often like to talk with my friend about religion and the meaning of life
and i think to them A LOOOOOOT of time)

Also it talks about random types of society:
Anarchy/No Government,Clan/Tribal,Caste,Fuedal,Theocracy,Dictatorship,
Representative Democracy,Athenian Democracy,Corporate State,Technocracy

And on society conditions:
Subjugated,Slave State,Sanctuary,Military Government,Socialist,Bureaucracy
Colony,Oligarchy,Hazardous,Meritocracy,Embargoed,Patriarchy/Matriarchy,Utopia
Cybercracy

Well, that's all the RTF says...I would quote who wrote it,but there is no Author name,
Copright or similar things..probably it's not an official document...The fiele cointains
just the various means to create a random race..So if someone wants it i will be very glad to
send this file by e-mail.

With this new release,we can use the editors...Can we make whole universes file and exchange
file with each other?Surely,i think...And then,Toadyone, what about uploading the best
player-made universes file on the download page?Someone will surely do a Tolkien Universe
...with Human,Elves,Dwarves,Orcs,Hobbits,Ents and materials like Mithril and Adamantite.
And im planning to do some universes by myself(look A LOT below)

Also, since the material editor is in,i think you should re-add weapons made of random
materials...what good is to create a new metal when you can't test it?

Since the next release is about magic...i have thought about Material Requirements..
They could include precious/uncommon metals,
like gold, silver and the like. But also parts of creature corpses...
And varius substances...Blood,bones,brain or muscle tissue, skin, hair.
.maybe for some animals even dung!Maybe unicorn dung has magical properties
for casting spells againist evil! :-)
Also you could have even strange gasses as components..for example you could use the
"breath of a fish"for a spell that Makes one breath water!...
Or you could put a "Mountain Wind"in a glass bottle and use it for
some elemental air spell...

But i did not only think to magic...What about "PSIONICS"?Think to it..
looks like it's more limited than magic...but i don't think this is true...
you could combine various psionics effects in a lot of ways!

Differenty from magic,Psionics usually requires no rituals...
just concentration..and maybe "mental energy"...There would
be something like "psionic schools"or "disciplines",that
include a lot of different effects...for example:

Psycoportation = Basically Teleportation.Cost in mental energy and
concetration would dependy on the size of the item/creature.

Telekinesis = The ability to move Items/Creature using one mind.
Probably allows flight...also GOOD for causing damage...Think
to smashing a golem againist a wall...

Telepathy = The ability to send telepathyc messages.

ESP/Mind Reading = The ability to sense "standard"life forms,meaning
those possesing brain and hearth i think..Higher skill also allows
to READ in the minds of creatures...meaning in their brains,so
in Slaves to Armok one could known their basic feeling.

Hypnotism/Mind control = Hypnotism exists in real life...
It is just the ability to "hypnotize"someone,to make them remember
something for example. In Slaves to Armok,it should not be different.
If one wanted to give orders to a creature using his psionics powers,
for example,he should use "Mind Control",not Hypnotism.
I personally think that one could use these abilities on himself,
especially Hypnotism...
Examples are trying to use your power to make your character
learn/forget something...Maybe you could auto-convince yourself
into being the world-greatest warrior and actually gain
some moderate bonuses?
Maybe even overcoming "mental"fear(for "body fear"one would
need biofeedback)
By the way, someone could also know Hypnotism as Mesmerism...
Mesmerism is very similar to Hypnotism..It was invented
by someone called "Mesmer",if im right...

Biofeedback = This is GREAT!The ability to control one body
processes...Think to wounds,blood flow,heart and brain
activity...not to forget hunger and thirst...of course the fact
that you don't feel hunger or thirst does not mean you cannot
die of thirst or hunger...Maybe it would work for helping in
healing from wounds and illness...
Also biofeedback could give Adrenaline Control...In real life,if
im right,Adrenaline brings blood to muscles, making one stronger..
But Adrelaine is also the hormone that controls rage, for example..
So you could use Adrenaline Control to become a berseker...or to
calm yourself.
Thinking to it,why only Adrenaline control? One could also
control other glands and hormones...If one could control his
Growth Ormone,he could,over time(a few months?)become HUGE...or small...
***REALLY*** POWERFUL psionics could use Biofeedback on others..maybe...

Disintegration = If Psycoportation allows us to move the atoms
of items, disintegration allows us to...um...disintegrate them?

Also two questions...does someone of you read "FOCUS"?
I mean, the famous scientific newspaper...I read it and it
gives me many great ideas, like the ones of biofeedback and hypnotism.

Toadyone, when are you adding claw attacks? We have bite
attacks..but not claws attacks! That'injust!I want we have the "jaws that bite"..
but i also want the "claws that catch!"

Also, since i don't want you to forget it,i will say it now...
Less than two months and it's my birthday!I will make FOURTEEN years!
Since i had moustaches from when i was 12,and i altready need to shave every
morning,this isn't a big change :-)
Do you known what is the date of day i was born?
The 8th day of August...And,since August is the eight month of the year...
I was born on 08/08/1988!A lucky date,right?

Also i have noticed a thing about music in Slaves to Armok...there is
a big difference between listening to MIDI normally using
Media Player and listening to MIDIs "in the game" by putting
them in the sound directory and renaming them armok1,armok2,armok3...
In fact...whean i hear MIDIs in Slaves to Armok..they become BETTER!
They have a better rytm, for example...is this normal?

Well..in the meantime,im using Slaves to Armok not only to play
but to listen to music :-)
By the way,the default musics are...well..HORRIBLE!Im trying
to find the best musics for the game...even if,at this moment,
there are only 3:battle music,"travelling music"and "intro screen
music".For example,i use "Conquest of the New World"As intro screen
music...I've also noticed that, when you enter an area with
hostile monsters, the battle music and travelling music seem to
alternate madly...Instead of making the battle music appear when
you attack a monster,it would be cooler if you could hear it
ALWAYS when enemies are in line of sight...I would also add
a "character death music"and "victory"music when you have slain all
the enemies in an area.

Another idea for an Editor...Wwhen we will be able to create COMPLETELY editable universes and
planet, will we be able to define not only basic things like the general stats of an
entity/empire/planet?I mean...will we be able, for example,to create an empire where there is
a certain emperor...for example Emperor Zonk...and this emperor has a castle made of
red and blue stones with a secret room...Maybe there is an evil priest called "Alanor"hidden in the Emperor Castle trying to assassinate him...(just
an example Alanor)
We should be able to have an editor to CREATE the castle..I.m saying
CREATE and not BUILD because building is done in game…Basically one could
CREATE the castle in this editor room by room and decide it's special properties..
We should be able to also decide the "Emperor Zonk"stats, including moral conduct...is he an evil mastermind
or good and wise(like the real Zonk)? As stats i mean EVERYTHING...Ranging from the emperor
favorite shoes to his hair color!Maybe we could import "Emperor Zonk" or "Evil Priest Alanor"
stats from a player savefile...
I mean...it would be cool if one could also make completely player-created universes...
and not just be able to edit the creatures, items and material?

Will we be able to create, for example,a planet that has SPECIFIC places?
For example,to create a planet where you can find the "Drakalor Chain"of ADOM,with all the particolar characters and villages(just an example,I have no idea of stealing things from ADOM)

Of course,im talking about the STARTING stats of an universe...But it would be
cool if one could edit an universe altready modified by a player!

The cool thing is that this would also allow "re-creating"historical periods..i known
someone altready suggested it..If im right,Tarn brother...
It would also be cool to be able to combine "almost"random things with editors...
For example, one could make an universe where there are some "specific"places and "entities"
and make the game generate cities, entities and other things just by following some
basic istructions.

Also, when creating an universe,we should be able to give the player the possibility, for
example,to start playing has a certain pre-made character...a God,a strange Necromancer or a
King for example...Or one could also give the player to possibility to start with a certain
pre-made background.

It would also be cool to be able to BE Armok himself! That would mean one could
play and edit the world like he wants at the same time...and he could possess other creature
bodies naturally...Since,if im right,Armok is supposed to have no psychical body ...

It would be a must to manage to implement the possibility of making a planet really "spheric",
meaning that you could go forward indefinitely(i altready said it,i known)...

I even thought to editing elemental/astral planes....Are elemental planes infinite?Umh...no...
But what happens if one runs at higher-than-light speed in a certain direction in an
elemental plane? Are elemental planes spheric? And,if we allow space travelling, what happens
when you reach the "limits" of the universe? We known that universe is infinite BUT EXPANDING...
How do we manage this in Slaves to Armok?Maybe we could have a ****HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE****
but limited Universe(meaning “Outer space&#8221 ;),and the game continues to create random parts of it as the player progresses...That would look very memory-taking,but remember, not ALL planets are suitable for life, so the game would not have to store data for entities and species for every planet...

In definitive i think that these examples of default universes that would be very cool for someone to do…
I think i will surely try to do some of them, even if actually we can’t edit
Everything…We could even have a contest for the best Universe-maker?

Tolkien-Lord of the Rings Universe:Of course!I have altready talked about it!

Mytology Universe:An universe where the mytology of all countries and continents meet...Think to many pantheons and, for example, Grendel fighting the Minotaur,
Zeus fighting Odin, Beowulf and Sigfrid teaming up with Hercules and Achiles…
That would be fun :-)

Primitive Universe:The player starts in a primitive earth-like world...or maybe
equal to Earth?...He could see and help civilization grow...but without god-like powers...
Of course,if the player really want to see the world evolve, he should have some "Immortal"
option ON...

Dragonball Universe:It has an interesting pantheon, lot of planets and interesting races...
Think to Androids,Namekians,Saiyans,Kaioshins,Demonsl,BioAndroids(Cell for example),Icer(Freezer, his brother cooler and his father)...

Lovecraftian Universe:What if Armok created the Great Ancient Ones?Or maybe "Cthulhu"is a
relative of Armok? Also it would be hard to create R'lyeh using an editor, since i have
read that "R'lyeh is a great sunken city of non-Euclidian geometry hidden somewhere
beneath the ocean".
Non-Euclidian geometry?That's HARD to think...The only non-Euclidian geometries i known
are Ellitic(Spheric) and Iperbolic...

Amber Universe:I don't known a lot about it..but it look interesting...apparently,powerful
Amberites can create their universes, known as shadows...And our planet,Earth,is only
a big shadow...The only true city is known as Amber...The shadows are only illusions...
Also, there are "Chaosites",demon-like creatures,of power inferior to Amberites, but A LOT superior to humans....Basically,if one was of the Amberite
species, one could create something like a small"pocket universe".

Star Wars Universe:It has many planets and species, and someone altready talked about the “Force”as as a special magic system.

Star Trek Universe:Like star wars, but even cooler(for me!)Think to teleportation and these pointy-eared Vulcanians that resemble elves…Not to forget the strong,magenta-blodded,honorable Klingons, and Humans, and Cardassians…It has many
Cool species…

Horror Universe:Just standard horror...Golems,especialy flesh and bone,necromancers,
vampires,werewolves,ghost,evil warriors...and a lot of other things...

What-if Universes:What about "what-if"universes?For example,what about an universe that
simulates what would happen if on earth there was VERY little water?Or what if
the Earth was ALL covered in water? What if the Earth atmoshpere was not of oxygen
but of some other materials? What if on Earth there was no gravity? It would be cool to test
many possibilities by creating many universes using the editors...

At last, two little ideas...since you talked about "creature variations",how are they handled
by the species editor? And will displaying creature variations include variuous muscles?
A well-muscled human would look different from a weak one..im not only talking about
size, but the of the sheer bulk of muscles.
Also, when you parry, weapon should also get damaged, depending on the strenght of the blow, and
your skill in parrying/guarding should also depend from the skill in the weapon you are
wielding.

Well..with this i have finished...By the way...did you known i have noticed that i have
been in this forum for more than a year? This is FANTASTIC!I mean..It is very nice
know such nice(even if a BIT strange :-) )persons and to help create an incredibile game...
And now, since there are the Summer Holidays,i shall have A LOT more spare time to have
great ideas for this game...and to play it of course! Can't wait to create the "Zonkian"race!

Also, since i will have more time,i think im going to write a MANUAL about Slaves to Armok!

When it will be ready,it would be GREAT if Toadyone agreed to put it on this
site......Yes,i known there is altready a manual..but it talks of the game in general,it does
not say HOW to play it..and it is VERY outdated...also,i have altready translated the
"outdated"manual in Italian a lot of time ago..So i think im going to write a manual that
explains how to play the game and gives useful tips and trick...Maybe i will even
write how to cheat(with savefiles) or be a powerplayer,if someone wants to know...Of course i
will update this manual every time a new version of Slaves to Armok comes out...I think the
manual will be in .htm format, because it allows for things like urls, images and similar...
Also,Toadyone, have you discovered why we can't contact/authorize each other in ICQ?Maybe we
should try again, since ICQ is better to send files and because it would be an HONOR for me
to talk to you "almost"personally...I want to remember to anyone that uses ICQ that my UIN
is 125637883.

Well, this was REALLY the last thing in my TITANIC post!

Slaves to Armok: God of Blood / strange and powerful stock races...
« on: January 16, 2002, 11:28:00 am »
a Stock races/species discussion:

Will we have some sort of help-browser to see the varius race
descriptions before choosing, right?Well that's just one of the less
important question in this post...

I was just thinking an idea to kill the time for the new demos of
Slaves to Armok:Why not talk about the attributes/powers of various
races, especially the most powerful or strange...

I think most of this races could be added as stock species without
problems(code-wise),but im not saying they are all balanced..
Well we have altready talked about playing a super-character right?
You just get a smaller score...but bigger fun(if you are like me)

Remember to post freely replies with other species. So,in the end,
we can make a BIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGG species list.

Well...so the LONG list starts:

Humanoids:

Giants:BIG Humanoids.Maybe sorted in varied sub-races,one bigger
than another..But HOW big?Do we have 9-10 feet 500 pound hill giants
and 30 feet Storm giants?Also,all giant attributes/skills/items
are derivated from their size, right?I mean they probably don't
have a strange culture, they could just be considered BIG-humans,right?
One exception could, maybe,be their skill at throwing boulders...But
thinking to it it's just like a normal human throwing a normal rock.
Then,the sub-species are,in this order of strengh(i think):

Hill Giant(10 feet)
Stone Giant(15 feet)
Frost Giant(20 feet)
Fire Giant(25 feet)
Storm Giant(30 feet)

maybe we could throw in Sea Giants(between Frost and Fire)and
Cloud Giant(between Fire and Storm).By the way,their life-span
is the same as humans except for Stone(living almost forever
but getting weaker with erosion) and Storm Giants, right?

Trolls:Now,are they 8-10 feet tall or just 3-4 feet? They surely
are strong, though. Also, what is the limit of their regenerating
power?Also..another big problem...to they just turn to stone
FOREVER at sun-light or they become of flesh another time at the dusk?
I think the second option is the best and most realistic.Or maybe
they just get some penality to all attributes in sunlight?

Orc and Ogres:They are probably related, right? They hate light but
the Ogres can live above ground without too much problems. Also,
if for now we just have Red Ogres, will we have various other
types of Ogres?Blue(Acquatic)Ogres,Green(Forest/Swamp)Ogre and
similar things...By the way,D&D Ogres have small horns, right?
For attributes,Orcs could be a cross between Human and Ogres,i think,
but only about 6 foot tall.I also heard about an Orc/Ogre cross
called "Ogrillion".

Slaves to Armok: God of Blood / MANY THINGS( REALLY A LOT OF THINGS)
« on: January 05, 2002, 06:06:00 am »
First,a talk about pre-generated weapons...

In the not-so-near but not-so-far future,when a LOT of
pre-generated weapons will need to be added
could i help in definying the standard attributes
of the various weapons?Since i have a lot of spare time,i could
compile the files with the attributes of each weapon.I could
even write the description,if you wanted.

I suppose each weapon primary component will have about 9 things:

general weapon type
type of damage caused(Slashing,Blunt,Point)
base damage caused or maybe this is "auto-calculated"from weight
and other attributes OF THE WEAPON
dimensions(base weight,reach/height and width?)
speed
cost
balance?
Description.Maybe different description for different components,
when you look at an item you get the description of all components,
one under the other.

These are all BASE things, and all these attributes will SURELY change
depending on the material the weapon is generated. In a standard
universe the default material could be iron, right?

As primary i mean the blade/component usually used to attack the enemy,
though the other components could have less attributes(a sword handle
could have a cost,if one broke it's handle and wanted a new one,but i
don't think a sword handle will have some complicate things like
other weapons). Also, cost for weapons should be:

[(Cost of all components and materials used to build it,including
the raw material)+(Cost for the work of the builder)+/-(a % depending
on the quality of the weapon if the shopkepper is honest)]* 100%
normally, modified by varius factors and by a sort of "Haggling Skill"

Im willing to compile(i get the file with the basic structure
all the weapons and their attributes) the files with a lot of weapons,
even if there is no program editor and i have to edit some BIG *.txt
files. Also,we could divide the weapons in varius txt files and
different people could put the attributes for different weapons.Like
we couldhave a polearms.txt,swords.txt,macesandclubs.txt ecc.ec...

I think not only should we have long/short swords, club, maces, halberd,
daggers but also many variuous pre-generated weapons, especcialy
weapons typical of certain countries. Here's a little list:

Variuous Weapons:
Bastard Sword(a one-and-half sword),Katana(japanese long sword),
Tulwar(Indian deadly curved short sword),Kriss(Indian "snake-like"
knife),Gladius(short but large sword used by gladiators),
Rapier(not very good at damaging but very fast),
cho-ku-no(chinese crossbow),tanto(a bar of metal connected to
another bar of metal by a leather string, japanese ninja weapon?),
Sap(for knocking out opponents),Halberd with spike(useful againist
cavalry),Hook(useful for hand-less players and pirates),Clawed
Gloves.

Also,i think that some weapons could be used as tools and some
tools as weapons. For example,it would be possible to use a weaponsmith
hammer to fight, but it would be less powerful than a battle-hammer.
Also, for chopping trees, there could be different types of axe, including
battle axes, thus for a woodsmen it would be a good idea to become
expert in manipulating axes.

Another idea i have is to allow people to download text files with
new pre-generated weapons(or creatures or other things)
and paste them into the base files or just keep them in specific files,
and, when the world is generated, allow to choose from what files
will the pre-generated things be taken.

Also:

Allow to choose how to use the blade of a weapon:
   for a slash or for a "point"attack.

Lighting:Maybe if a creature is clad in metal armor
during heavy rain...he could get struck
       by lightings/thunder.Might also be used
       to animate creatures like Frankestein.
Or,if someone is about to get the killing
blow from an enemy, the enemy could rise it's
weapon(why don't they just slit the enemy throat?)
       and get hit by lighting!

Sweat:If we have blood for wounded players, why not
sweat for tired ones? Also, sweat stinks so one might
stink if he doesn't clean/bathe himself, and the people
   might shun him.

DON'T remove the option to hit oneself, but make it so
that when one does WANT to hit himself,he can hit
himself in almost any part he wants(this way i could test
the effect of having a knife in tjrskull)without any
need to make rolls for hitting ecc.ecc...
A different thing is if you are wearing a cursed sword
that, while still in your hand, tries to behead you.

I altready read about it,but will it be possibile to have
some options for choosing not to kill a creature but just
stun it?Like, for example,if there is a creature that i could
kill for a simple blow, could i set the options so there's
a chance based on my item wielding skill and other factors
that i just stun it(of course he gets wounded). This way it
would be possibile to make a mistake and kill a creature
   the player wanted to stun.

AI:A basic thing is that if the player attacks members of
it's race, they should react and attack the player. Also,
rats should just run,and rats should be ignored by Humans
and Red Ogres(unless Red Ogres eat rats).Homewer,10-15
rats could try to to kill a gnome.

Fighting/hitting multiple body parts:Might it be possible to
hit multiple body part with one blow without bypassing them?
For example,a well-done slash could cut one skull, broke
several ribs and maybe cut a leg.
Also making an hole a creature torax with a punch and grabbing
his hearth, then the creature is dead and you have it's hearth
in  your hand.By the way, powerful evil warlocks like to do
   this.

Someone probably altready said it,but will it be possible
to play oneself?Like you could have asked some questions
during character creations, like if you practice sports
and similar things. Also, the possibility to create
"super" characters without any penality and to create
   pre-made scenarios(where the creator set's what pre-generated
things will be used)and world editor were one could be
able to create the maps...He could put random elements or
things lice a bear cave ecc.ec..
I REALLY mean that the player could draw the map, like he could
make a scenario in a castle ecc.ec..I myself want to test if a
VERY powerful  HEAVILY armed Warrior can kill an army by
placing himself on a door thus killing the enemies one-by-one.
   Okay,im mad...

   Also,actually,you(Toadyone)said Attributes are "scaled".
You also said you will put a number other than 150 as
   standard attribute...100 maybe?
An Human with 150 Dexterity is faster than a Red Ogre with the
same Dexterity. But,i have a question. An Human with Strenght
250 is and 1.66 times stronger than an Human with Strenght 150?
Or he is about 2-3 times stronger?I think the first option
is easer to code, since you don't have to do strange bonus
tables(like D&D,it's also irrealistic and does not allow for
very high numbers, wich we could get with the random species)
Also it allows for easier confrotation between characters
   for debugging.And it's better if we have spells/things that,for
   example,make you 10 times stronger.
Even if,in the future, you will not be able to see your
attributes as numbers unless you turn on some option.
If 100 is the attribute of the average men,the Highest
attribute an human could reach will be about 400 in a
non-fantasy universe, right?Maybe this limit could be higher
for Mental attributes and a bit lower for Strenght,Endurance
   and Dexterity.Maybe in the status attributes,for debug/testing
purposes, you could see the "scale"of your race in that at
attribute,in confront with the human average.
Like a Red Ogre(Im always talking about them, they
are my favorite race)could have on his status screen
Strength(x5):High(150, IP:0)meaning the average Red Ogre
is strong as 5 average humans. This is in a standard fantasy
universe where humans are the scale(usually).
In an "animal"world, the creature with a Strenght scale of
   x1 might be another.

Magic items could change the scale of the attributes or
   just grant a "special bonus".

Weight:How much weight can a creature carry?I think a good
formulae could be (Weight of the creature)*(Strenght/100)
Also,i think that it should be added the possibility to
push/pull/drag items, allowing to move greater weights.

Graphic:Could it be possibile to have a complete image of
a creature by looking at it(including the player).
It would be a big version of the image of creature,
but with some "comphrensible"pictures for armor and weapons.
Of course, these images would be 2d and would be optional
(you could not download them if you wanted)

Alchool:Could a player drink a HEAVY alchoolich beverage,
then fart holding a torch to his mouth to shout fire to
   impress people or kill enemys?

A question.I put the game in full window, normally
it's VERY SLOW but this time the FPS was about 20.But the
ground was no longer green..it was the color of the sky...
is this a bug?If not,can i make it happen another time?
So i can play faster(at the expense of having light blue grass)..

Also, another question..if,in the future we will have a new 2d version,
will it be possibile to import universes/game file from the 3d version
to the 2d version?I mean, modifying the graphic involves modification
to the game(species/universe/ecc.ecc) files,right?

Also, what is the italian translation of motif or some english words
wich describe it(i tried on the english/italian dictionary but i did
find it)?Motif are a kind of "enlarged"kind of species right?Mammals,
Reptile,Fishes,Amphybies(Frogs,Toads,Salamander),Insect,Birds and
others.
Will we also have "vertebrate"and "invertebrate"?Maybe insectoid
creatures are treated in a particolar way because they have a
"chitine"armor.Maybe insectoid creature could,growing,shed their
old skin and get a new skin. When without the skin, the creature
would be very weak. Also lobsters and skakes shed and change skin.
Maybe body familiarity skills could also be useful for cooking
animals/preparing them/skinning and other things(including
extracting poison).A snake-hunter could be expert at cooking
them(he would have a normal cooking skill but a high body familiarity
skill about them)

Necromancer/Corpses:what about rotting making you unable to recognize
the race of a corpse? After 3 days, the corpse of an human called
"Guy" might just become an"human corpse"and after 6 days just an
"humanoid corpse".Of course Body Familiarity skills help.Maybe
you could treat a corpse to make it last longer.Useful for trophies,
i think the pratice is putting straw in a creature body(can't remember
the verb).Also (realistic)mummyfing could preserve corpses.By the
way,i was thinking...with the fantastic body part/function system,
it would be a lot easier for undeads, right?A normal human could be
transformed into a mummy just by killing it,removing some organs,
putting bandages and oils on and casting a spell/ritual.If the organs
aren't removed,the mummy rots...and stinks.By the way,if a mummy
bandages are removed, the flesh under them is greenish/blackish
but not rotten. Also, you could make "Frankestein"type monster
using the body of an humanoid(especially ogre). Also organ/limbs
transplant. You could loose your natural arm and get a metal artificial
/demon/something arm.Or,for pirates,you could get a wooden leg!

Exercies:We surely need it.I read it on The Future page, but i also
thought about weight-lifting and pushups to train Strenght and
Endurance.

Swimming in Blood:If a player kills MANY creatures in a small closed
place, maybe he could REALLY swim(and drown)in their blood

Some ideas for pre-made test scenarios to play-test varius
features:

Bar's Brawl:Yu start in a Bar,all the weapons you can
use are your strenght and chairs/tables/bottles that
you can break on tables. The enemies are varius drunk guys.
Maybe the player is also a little drunk?
This is to test the effects on alchool, using various items
   as weapons and item breakage.

One againist all:You must conquer a castle ALONE.The player
is some sort of monster/giant.Maybe a titan?Toadyone said he
tested a Titan and they are 150 tons and 1000 times the size
of an human. This is to test varius things including the
possibility for the Titan to attack the soldier on the castle
walls(Titans are VERY TALL)or break the gate with a kick.

Run the Gauntlet:In this scenario you just have to run
bypassing the enemy lines.Maybe you have an horse.
Allow testing of riding(with the horse),ranged weapons
(enemy soldiers shooting at you),and fighting from
   horseback.

Military Training:A simple scenario. You have to pass varius
   test,including jumping a small pond of water,crawling,
climbing ecc.ecc..This allows to test movement stances.

Attacking ANYTHING:What about allowing to attack anything(not only
creatures)with a all-attack/wielded item use mode(pressing number 3).
In this way you could attack(DIG)mineral veins with your pick,or break
a bottle on a table(thoug i would prefer to break it on an enemy,so
the first blow does more damage).Of course, unless it's dark/you are
drunk/blind you nevers miss items.Other things could be chopping
a tree by "attacking"it(you could use an axe but maybe an halberd
would also work)or cutting plants by attacking them with a Machete.
Or just to smash items to have fun.Maybe,by the way,you could also
aim at the items choosing what component of the item you want to
attack. If you select a VERY small component, you might also miss and
hit the larger component.

Also another question about bug/features...could you make a
debug menu or don't remove the varius debug keys that you put
in the game(until a more complete version)? They could
be useful not only to you(Toadyone)but also to the various people
who test the game...I got the idea when i read in the old December
news the fact that, about one year ago, you could make creatures fly
up 10 feet by pressing Y.

By the way,im also trying to download the OLD 2d version, since it
was a bit more stable and faster. Also it was cool and some nice
things,so i can play while i wait for a faster Slaves to Armok.
Could somebody send me the Directx 2d (or directx-less r both)
version at zonk1000@yahoo.it?And is DRAGSLAY be avaible for download?

Slaves to Armok: God of Blood / pubblicity

ha..i want to say one thing..to make slaves to armok more known,i have made a talk about it on my little internet newspaper(about RPGMAKERS)i also included the demo..so i hope many more people will play the game..

Slaves to Armok: God of Blood / Ideas
« on: December 28, 2001, 10:03:00 am »
various ideas and questions..

Some Random Ideas for Slaves to Armok + Some Questions:

For Translations:I ve altready talked about it,but now
i ask it again..will it be possible to move all basic
words to editable files? For basic words i mean things
like "bleeding","arm","head","hit".This way,it could
be easily possible to translate the game.By the way,
im avaible for translating the game in Italian and,
since i can download varius translation software and
i have LOT of Free-Time,in other various languages.

Sea/Water:I was just thinking..could sea/water be added in the near
future?I don't mean much..it could be of blue transparent
color and like reverse hills(at various depth)and it could
not be crossed..im talking about an easy-to-add feature
for the near future, even if i would like to be able to swim
(actually, you can only walk or crawl).

Think to it as transparent-blue reverse hill.Of course they
only appear in the areas of the map that are blue(sea).

Swimming/Flying:I was thinking of a system for swimming/flying
in a 3d Enviroment.I think that to fly or swim the character could
use normal left and right key to turn horizontaly and the up/down key
to turn "vertically".Then he could use some other key to move forward.
Another way could be to use Page Down and Page Up so one can use the
UP arrow to move forward. It could also be possibile to move backward,
possibile for some creatures wich are very good at flying(in real-life
the only bird that can fly backward is the colibri)or for entities who
don't fly with wings but fly magicaly or just levitate. Also possibile
could be swimming on your back.

I know it's hard to understand what i said...It's just a system
for flying and swimming in a 3d enviroment.I don't know how it could
work in the 2d version.

Ruining of Items:Weapons breaking/ruining will be added in the
near future, right? If yes,i think that ruined items could weight
a bit less(especcialy for weapons and armor),i mean,for example
a VERY ruined sword might weight 50 grams(about 0,1 pound)less
than a new sword, because,in getting ruined, some small particles
of the sword were destroyed/feel on the ground...

Armor/Shield:I think armors should be added in the near
future.Armor could be just be metal/leather/other materials
which takes damage instead of you or some kind of living
material wich regenerates(a bio/demon armor,but let's not forget
natural armor like scales).Different armor/shield
protects in different ways from different types of damage.
Of course damage wich is not absorbed by the armor is suffered by
the entity. Also, one should be able to use almost anything
as a shield...for example,a big cushion could be used as a
shield againist a bludgeoning weapon.

Collateral Working Products:This means that when you,for example,
cut wooden blocks using a saw you get wood dust, and when you
work with stone blocks you get stone dust. All this dust could
be used to throw it the eyes of an enemy, blinding him.

Painting and Sculture:I think the game will need a sort of system
for drawing for entities. The character/entity will decide the basic
painting, which will be modified according to his Painting skill
(and other factors).

(This is a must)A "free"engine to talk to entities.Including
the possibility to use complex sentences, like "Tell me about
orcs"or "Bring me a weapon and i will reward you".

The Questions:

Is somebody here from Europe?Maybe from Italy? And
if yes, does this somebody have ICQ?My UIN is 125637883,and,
since the forum is slow for talking about this game
and the chat room is always empty(when i try it),i would like
to also chat about the future of Slaves to Armot using
other means.Also,if you need it,my e-mail adress is zonk1000@yahoo.it

The day 17 im having MATH exams...Toadyone,since you are some sort of math professor...have you got any tips?

By the way,im also happy about the developing of Slaves to Armok..can't wait to be able to use the editors :-)

I have also noticed that there is bone Tissue but not marrow...i want to be able to lick the marrow of the bones of my enemies!

Slaves to Armok: God of Blood / Just talking about modifying files
« on: December 18, 2001, 10:00:00 am »
It's a shame Slaves to Armok will take so much time to be avaible in a new demo..in my time,i tried to modify the "active species"files..well..it crashed the game..is there a way to modify the species actually withouth crashing the game?

Slaves to Armok: God of Blood / varius ideas
« on: October 28, 2001, 10:55:00 am »
here are some ideas...

allow "general"targeting preferences, not only the ones on specific entities

correct some bug, like the fact that you can bite yourself in the ear,for example

what about graphic options to make the game faster?

in the complete version, should the travel mode be removed?i mean..it's irrealistic that you can travel this way, ignoring dangers like entities,traps,ecc.ec..

what allowing damaging of the body parts that you use to attack?if i attack a knight in plate armor with a punch,il probably break my hand!

Slaves to Armok: God of Blood / NEW IDEAS
« on: September 22, 2001, 04:45:00 am »
NEW IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS:

VERY IMPORTANT:Please DON'T COMMERCALIZE the game!I saw some VERY GOOD games i liked
to play become "commercial",so i could not play them(im not "poor"or "greedy"...im just
VERY YOUNG..to be honest,im 13...im born the 8/8/1988...the Eight Day of August
in the 1988...)
Toadyone...With your programming and drawing skills, you could create some simulation
program for the army(or for the medicine...i don't like war in real life..this is
why i want Armok to be finished...to kill creatures without really damaging someone).

Rember...WE(well..at least me)TRUST YOU!

Here are the ideas:

(This is a part of evolution)You could choose to start in the first time of the
universe, and see creatures like dinosaurs,in the middle of the universe or near
the end of the world...

If there will be to much commands, other than keys for more than one related command
(like a key that allows you to choose between different programs)we could have
a way to "input"commands..like you could press F4 and then you should write
the command you want to do(including the name of the target?you could write "talk"and
then choose to talk to an orc or write "talk to orc"?).This would work well for commands
wich are not mega-important...or for commands witch depends on the "rating"options
(like if we will have things like "going to the bath"...optional of course).
If someone typed the verb and the rating option did not allow it,he would get
a message like "You said you don't want these things"

In the new demo,it would be fun to have a sentient creature to talk and interact...
or kill...

If when you are blind, you see all black...it would be nice if would see BLOOD
dripping on your eyes...

A new idea for "stats"...make every stat "relative"...like you could have,in the
following order...

Lacking
Disastrous
Terrible
Very Bad
Bad,Poor
Fair
Normal
Above-Average
Good
Great
Very Great
Leggendary
Heroic

strenght/agility,ecc.ec...Like "Heroic Strenght"...The stats would be "relative"because
they don't really appear as number..so a giant with a "Normal"Strenght would have the
normal strenght of a Giant..while an Human with "Great"strenght will be very strong for
humans..but he could be like be weaker(or just AS STRONG)as the giant with
normal(but giant!)strenght!

Also,we could also add sub-stats:

Body Sub-Stats:

Upper Body Strenght,Lower Body Strenght,Costitution,Health(Resistence to DISEASES
and the like...is "connected"to Costitution)Speed,Precision,Reflexes,

PLUS varius senses(note:Sixth sense is a MENTAL Sub-stat)

Mental Stats:

Curiosity,Willpower,Sixth Sense,Instinct

I altready talked about it...but i have another idea idea for the things that could
be "unliked"by some people...

We could add a sort of "violence/realistic""rating"option,ranging from
   -100 to 100.
0 would mean a "normal"game, like in real life.100 would be a game for
   "kids"and -100 a very cruel world(i know it's hard to immagine a world
more ugly than this..but it is possible).

The "realism"things that should be modified by these options are:

   Reproduction/Relations/Love/Cruelty/Feelings
   Violence
Language(-100 means ALL people, probably including the player, insult each other)

NOTE:Im suggesting these not for me,but to allow some people to play the game
and don't get this game "censured"by some USA guy...Personally
im VERY OPEN MINDED,and i think a game with profane words,a lot of blood
and, let's call it "realistic riprodution"is not very different from the
        real world...
Some of us want a game that is somewhat different from their cruel life...
        We could satisfy them...
I also think im not evil if i want a violent game because playing
violent (video)games could REDUCE the violence in real life..some times
in my life i feel i want to kill someone and/or bite/eat his arm...if i
could do it in a videogame..i could feel MUCH BETTER!
(Just for you to know...when i fell i want to kill someone and eat
his arm,i usualy just bite MY arm because i don't want to harm
         a person..an innocent person...well..im mad i know)

Also,if we add human and animal reproduction,we have to add pregnancy and hereditary
things...hereditary is also a useful for curses(like your sons will be demons or
"Your first son will kill you")and radiatons/hereditary diseases...

If you put an highcensure on violence, vomit should not appear..and with censure on
riproduction, people could be born in "fairy way"(like being brough to their
parents by a bird of wich i don't remember the name,or being found under
a plant)

You shouldn't know other people name(and other people know your name)unless you told
them/they told you or they read/saw your picture with your name and recognized you...

And you should not be able to recognize some materials(in real life,i know the difference
between boots made between leather and brain, but i don't know the difference between
HUMAN BRAIN and HORSE BRAIN...except a full horse brain is smaller)

Options for verbosity in combat?Like verbosity level of 1,2,3 or 4.

An example on how i would like the combat screen text:

Verbosity Level:   Text when attacking, for example,an "human"

   1         You attack the human.He parries/is hit/avoids the blow.
2         You attack the human with your sword. He parries/is hit
            in the head/
            avoid the blow.
3         You attack the human with your long sword. He parries
with his sword/is hit in the head/avoids the blow
4         You attack the human with your iron long sword.
He parries it with his steel sword/is hit in the head/
            avoids the blow.

Also, the name of the last enemy you attacked who is still in your attack
range should be always in sight...

Note:You probably noticed it..i look more mad..it's because the school has
    began another time...

I have just returned from a 3 days trip in Ferrara,in Northern italy..i also visited Saint Marine...just before the trip started i wrote a file with ideas for the editor and variuous other things...remember i wrote it BEFORE i read your ideas on "The second labour"..

Here's the file:

I think that these editors should have:

Possibility of an INFINITE number of stock species and materials...
infinite stock species = infinite empires..the only obstacle
to infinite species is the size of the world map...

We should have something like a "species/materials list"for each
universe and then then possibility to export/import species and
materials in them. This way we must not change the specis file with
another file if we have a lot of cool species/materials we got from
other players...we could just make a big file with all the cool
races/materials we like!

Possibility of defining the attributes of the "species"materials
like skin,muscle,bone,tissues...So we can create humans
with skin as hard as stone...These attributes should be decided
in the species editor, not im the material editor, because the material
editor is supposed to be for non-species materials.
By the way,you should also be able to import normal materials
in the species editor...so instead of human with skin HARD AS
steel you can have humans with skin MADE OF steel.
Also we could import "motif materials"in the species editor...
just in case you want to take "standard"mammal skin/bone
and modify it for your species...

A list of the things we should be able to decide in the species
editor:

Type:Is the species composed of castes,of sexes or of beings?
Or maybe it is unliving(see below)
Motif:Connected to the motif editor.
Average Attributes:Without limits! We should be able to have
Species with an average Strenght of 500
Average Weight
Average Height
Body Parts
Materials of the body parts:Connected to the Item and Motif Editor
AND INCLUDING BODY.
Growths:by the way the different teeths could cause different
damages...a wolf teeths are surely sharper than a man teeths!
Also the same thing for claws...
Humans don't have real "claws",we call them nails...

Also some things that could be added just for the motif and species
editor:

"Regeneration":What about a sort of "standard regeneration rate".
Just a % number that describes how fast wound heals.Of course
normal humans would have 100%.This does not allow to regenerate
limbs of course...it's only something describing the creature
metabolism...thinking to it...maybe we could replace the
"Regeneration" variable with a "Metabolism"variable...it would
also affect eating and drinking...Trolls would be ***VERY*** hard
to kill, but they would need to EAT A LOT...which is not a very big
problem, since they can eat raw flesh :-)

"Unliving":If we want to create VERY strange stock species,
we could add an "Unliving"flag. This DOES NOT mean undeath!
It's just a flag that we should put to have a "Construct"motif.
It means:

no possibility to get inconscious
no stamina
no wound regeneration
no sleeping
no growths/organs
no bleeding, but this could also be put without this
flag.

This way we would be able to test things like golems

...I mean...I don't think it's too hard to have....
We just have a "Costruct"motif that is set to "Unliving".
Then they have an humanoid(maybe also quadraped?) form and we edit
them normally...
They are "just"without bone,skin,blood,veins,artoas,brain,and other
organs and growths..They also have all mental attributes to 0.
Or maybe instead of blood they have some strange fluid or
molten metal...
Their "flesh"is supposed to be a metallic material.
When they get hit, little chunks of metal could fall on the
ground...
But there is a problem with attributes
They have no mental attributes, and this is right....
Dexterity is as for normal creatures...And Strenght?Well they have no
muscles!Maybe it just depends on the metal or the power of the magic
animating it...And Constitution? They have no "flesh" to speak of...
only a metal body...

I know it's irrealistic to be able to control mindless creatures.
You ALTREADY said it...but it would be funny!
And also a test for using weapon materials for species...
and i think it's easy to add :-)

Also think to this...in the Future/Mental section you can read this:

"Quest: Gain a null attribute (like the scare crow or the tin man
from the Wizard of Oz)"

Well you could also give a null attribute to others...
Think to a golem with a brain! You could play a mage who gives to his
most powerful golem a brain...maybe the brain he got from the dead
body of an ancient hero!
A golem character could have,in VERY short terms,a storyline like
this:
"In the Year 1231 you were forged and enchanted by [put-a-name-here],
a mighty mage.A few years later,he gave you a mind of your own.
Later on,you lost/killed [put-name-of-the-mage-here]

PowerPlaying and cheating:If you want to test having a super-heroic
character...Put Survivor  Mode on,get in the midst of Norway Rats and
get attacked a lot of times, until the rats are tired. Then sleep.
Do this a lot of times.
This way you can get your Guarding skill up to something like 700-800...
After you remove the Survivor Mode and you can go killing Titans
and Behemoth Slaughter Beasts, without too much problems...
Personally i aim for the sense centers, hit BSB in the legs, they
fall to the ground and THEN i behead them!

Also you can save-cheat..but if you copy the save file of a character,
die and use the copy to restore the character to live, there will be
some errors in the game like items that change...
I had 2 long swords...after being killed and using the copy
of the save file...well..one of the long sword had become a
SHORT SWORD and the other..well..it had become...THE TONGUE
OF A NORWAY RAT!

By the way...i know savecheating is bad(and buggy)...but it's funny,
for me...

For Spelguru:You like big posts, like?Hope you liked reading
this.

For Alanor:When will we be able to download your nice space game?My
favorite game is Slaves to Armok but since i can't play Slaves
to Armok 10 hours a day,i think i will play your game also!
