NEW IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS:

VERY IMPORTANT:Please DON'T COMMERCALIZE the game!I saw some VERY GOOD games i liked
to play become "commercial",so i could not play them(im not "poor"or "greedy"...im just
VERY YOUNG..to be honest,im 13...im born the 8/8/1988...the Eight Day of August
in the 1988...)
Toadyone...With your programming and drawing skills,you could create some simulation
program for the army(or for the medicine...i don't like war in real life..this is
why i want Armok to be finished...to kill creatures without really damaging someone).


Rember...WE(well..at least me)TRUST YOU!


Here are the ideas:

(This is a part of evolution)You could choose to start in the first time of the
universe,and see creatures like dinosaurs,in the middle of the universe or near
the end of the world...

If there will be to much commands,other than keys for more than one related command
(like a key that allows you to choose between different programs)we could have
a way to "input"commands..like you could press F4 and then you should write
the command you want to do(including the name of the target?you could write "talk"and
then choose to talk to an orc or write "talk to orc"?).This would work well for commands
wich are not mega-important...or for commands witch depends on the "rating"options
(like if we will have things like "going to the bath"...optional of course).
If someone typed the verb and the rating option did not allow it,he would get
a message like "You said you don't want these things"


In the new demo,it would be fun to have a sentient creature to talk and interact...
or kill...


If when you are blind,you see all black...it would be nice if would see BLOOD
dripping on your eyes...


A new idea for "stats"...make every stat "relative"...like you could have,in the
following order...

Lacking
Disastrous
Terrible
Very Bad
Bad,Poor
Fair
Normal
Above-Average
Good
Great
Very Great
Leggendary
Heroic

strenght/agility,ecc.ec...Like "Heroic Strenght"...The stats would be "relative"because
they don't really appear as number..so a giant with a "Normal"Strenght would have the
normal strenght of a Giant..while an Human with "Great"strenght will be very strong for
humans..but he could be like be weaker(or just AS STRONG)as the giant with
normal(but giant!)strenght!



Also,we could also add sub-stats:


Body Sub-Stats:

Upper Body Strenght,Lower Body Strenght,Costitution,Health(Resistence to DISEASES
and the like...is "connected"to Costitution)Speed,Precision,Reflexes,

PLUS varius senses(note:Sixth sense is a MENTAL Sub-stat)


Mental Stats:

Curiosity,Willpower,Sixth Sense,Instinct


I altready talked about it...but i have another idea idea for the things that could
be "unliked"by some people...

   We could add a sort of "violence/realistic""rating"option,ranging from
   -100 to 100.
   0 would mean a "normal"game,like in real life.100 would be a game for
   "kids"and -100 a very cruel world(i know it's hard to immagine a world
   more ugly than this..but it is possible).

   The "realism"things that should be modified by these options are:
   
   Reproduction/Relations/Love/Cruelty/Feelings
   Violence
   Language(-100 means ALL people,probably including the player,insult each other)
   
      
   NOTE:Im suggesting these not for me,but to allow some people to play the game
        and don't get this game "censured"by some USA guy...Personally
        im VERY OPEN MINDED,and i think a game with profane words,a lot of blood
        and,let's call it "realistic riprodution"is not very different from the
        real world...
        Some of us want a game that is somewhat different from their cruel life...
        We could satisfy them...
        I also think im not evil if i want a violent game because playing
        violent (video)games could REDUCE the violence in real life..some times
        in my life i feel i want to kill someone and/or bite/eat his arm...if i
        could do it in a videogame..i could feel MUCH BETTER!
        (Just for you to know...when i fell i want to kill someone and eat
         his arm,i usualy just bite MY arm because i don't want to harm
         a person..an innocent person...well..im mad i know)

Also,if we add human and animal reproduction,we have to add pregnancy and hereditary
things...hereditary is also a useful for curses(like your sons will be demons or
"Your first son will kill you")and radiatons/hereditary diseases...

If you put an highcensure on violence,vomit should not appear..and with censure on
riproduction,people could be born in "fairy way"(like being brough to their
parents by a bird of wich i don't remember the name,or being found under
a plant)

You shouldn't know other people name(and other people know your name)unless you told
them/they told you or they read/saw your picture with your name and recognized you...

And you should not be able to recognize some materials(in real life,i know the difference
between boots made between leather and brain,but i don't know the difference between
HUMAN BRAIN and HORSE BRAIN...except a full horse brain is smaller)


Options for verbosity in combat?Like verbosity level of 1,2,3 or 4.

   An example on how i would like the combat screen text:


   Verbosity Level:   Text when attacking,for example,an "human"

   1         You attack the human.He parries/is hit/avoids the blow.
   2         You attack the human with your sword.He parries/is hit
            in the head/
            avoid the blow.
   3         You attack the human with your long sword.He parries
            with his sword/is hit in the head/avoids the blow
   4         You attack the human with your iron long sword.
            He parries it with his steel sword/is hit in the head/
            avoids the blow.
   
       
     
   Also,the name of the last enemy you attacked who is still in your attack
   range should be always in sight...   


Note:You probably noticed it..i look more mad..it's because the school has
    began another time...

I have just returned from a 3 days trip in Ferrara,in Northern italy..i also visited Saint Marine...just before the trip started i wrote a file with ideas for the editor and variuous other things...remember i wrote it BEFORE i read your ideas on "The second labour"..

Here's the file:

I think that these editors should have:

Possibility of an INFINITE number of stock species and materials...
infinite stock species = infinite empires..the only obstacle
to infinite species is the size of the world map...


We should have something like a "species/materials list"for each
universe and then then possibility to export/import species and
materials in them.This way we must not change the specis file with
another file if we have a lot of cool species/materials we got from
other players...we could just make a big file with all the cool
races/materials we like!

Possibility of defining the attributes of the "species"materials
like skin,muscle,bone,tissues...So we can create humans
with skin as hard as stone...These attributes should be decided
in the species editor,not im the material editor,because the material
editor is supposed to be for non-species materials.
By the way,you should also be able to import normal materials
in the species editor...so instead of human with skin HARD AS
steel you can have humans with skin MADE OF steel.
Also we could import "motif materials"in the species editor...
just in case you want to take "standard"mammal skin/bone
and modify it for your species...

A list of the things we should be able to decide in the species
editor:

Type:Is the species composed of castes,of sexes or of beings?
Or maybe it is unliving(see below)
Motif:Connected to the motif editor.
Average Attributes:Without limits!We should be able to have
Species with an average Strenght of 500
Average Weight
Average Height
Body Parts
Materials of the body parts:Connected to the Item and Motif Editor
AND INCLUDING BODY.
Growths:by the way the different teeths could cause different
damages...a wolf teeths are surely sharper than a man teeths!
Also the same thing for claws...
Humans don't have real "claws",we call them nails...

Also some things that could be added just for the motif and species
editor:

"Regeneration":What about a sort of "standard regeneration rate".
Just a % number that describes how fast wound heals.Of course
normal humans would have 100%.This does not allow to regenerate
limbs of course...it's only something describing the creature
metabolism...thinking to it...maybe we could replace the
"Regeneration" variable with a "Metabolism"variable...it would
also affect eating and drinking...Trolls would be ***VERY*** hard
to kill,but they would need to EAT A LOT...which is not a very big
problem,since they can eat raw flesh :-)

"Unliving":If we want to create VERY strange stock species,
we could add an "Unliving"flag.This DOES NOT mean undeath!
It's just a flag that we should put to have a "Construct"motif.
It means:

no possibility to get inconscious
no stamina
no wound regeneration
no sleeping
no growths/organs
no bleeding,but this could also be put without this
flag.


This way we would be able to test things like golems


...I mean...I don't think it's too hard to have....
We just have a "Costruct"motif that is set to "Unliving".
Then they have an humanoid(maybe also quadraped?) form and we edit
them normally...
They are "just"without bone,skin,blood,veins,artoas,brain,and other
organs and growths..They also have all mental attributes to 0.
Or maybe instead of blood they have some strange fluid or
molten metal...
Their "flesh"is supposed to be a metallic material.
When they get hit,little chunks of metal could fall on the
ground...
But there is a problem with attributes
They have no mental attributes,and this is right....
Dexterity is as for normal creatures...And Strenght?Well they have no
muscles!Maybe it just depends on the metal or the power of the magic
animating it...And Constitution?They have no "flesh" to speak of...
only a metal body...

I know it's irrealistic to be able to control mindless creatures.
You ALTREADY said it...but it would be funny!
And also a test for using weapon materials for species...
and i think it's easy to add :-)

Also think to this...in the Future/Mental section you can read this:

"Quest: Gain a null attribute (like the scare crow or the tin man
from the Wizard of Oz)"

Well you could also give a null attribute to others...
Think to a golem with a brain!You could play a mage who gives to his
most powerful golem a brain...maybe the brain he got from the dead
body of an ancient hero!
A golem character could have,in VERY short terms,a storyline like
this:
"In the Year 1231 you were forged and enchanted by [put-a-name-here],
a mighty mage.A few years later,he gave you a mind of your own.
Later on,you lost/killed [put-name-of-the-mage-here]

PowerPlaying and cheating:If you want to test having a super-heroic
character...Put Survivor  Mode on,get in the midst of Norway Rats and
get attacked a lot of times,until the rats are tired.Then sleep.
Do this a lot of times.
This way you can get your Guarding skill up to something like 700-800...
After you remove the Survivor Mode and you can go killing Titans
and Behemoth Slaughter Beasts,without too much problems...
Personally i aim for the sense centers,hit BSB in the legs,they
fall to the ground and THEN i behead them!

Also you can save-cheat..but if you copy the save file of a character,
die and use the copy to restore the character to live,there will be
some errors in the game like items that change...
I had 2 long swords...after being killed and using the copy
of the save file...well..one of the long sword had become a
SHORT SWORD and the other..well..it had become...THE TONGUE
OF A NORWAY RAT!

By the way...i know savecheating is bad(and buggy)...but it's funny,
for me...

favorite game is Slaves to Armok but since i can't play Slaves
to Armok 10 hours a day,i think i will play your game also!

Here is a LONG list of some stock races:

Below is a LONG list of stock races with a SHORT description..if you don't want to see
it,press PAGE DOWN and then scroll a little up.


Mammals:

"Goblinoid/Orcish" Family:
 
  Kobolds:Very Weak,dextrous,green,look like little dogs,attack in groups...
  Goblins:Weak but fast green creatures,about 150 cm tall?
  HobGoblins:The "stronger"(and smarter)cousins of Goblins..about 175-185 cm tall...
  Orcs:Strong,stupid,but organized creatures..they could be as tall as a man,taller,or
      shorter(think to Tolkien orcs)
  Gnolls:Have hyena-like faces,about 2 m talls,fight with halberds and similar weapons,
        live in tribes like orcs...
  Ogres:Like orcs,but STRONGER and STUPIDIER,they are about 2,5 - 3 m tall.They also
   have little horns...

"Humans and Human-looking races" Family(Humans and similar races)

  Humans:Our real-life race..
  Elf:Taller,smarter,weaker in muscles,love nature,tends to be good...Don't age,good
      with bows..
  Dwarf:Short(about 90-130 cm) but bulky,tends to be neutral/good,good at smithing,
    loves to drink,they love gold and gems...
  Gnome:A bit like dwarves,but weaker,lighter and they prefer gems to gold
  Halfling/Hobbit:Half a man,like gnomes,but even more dextrous,they are good at
   stealing..
  Giants:BIG,from 4-5 meters(Hill Giants?)to 10(the tallest of storm giants?)..These
     creatures are,of course,very strong...

"Animal Races(Mammal)":

  Centaur:Horse/Human,bulky,loves nature and drinking,good with bows,
      stronger-than-human..
  Minotaur:Bull/Human,strong,likes to eat meat(especialy human)has hooves and horns,
       savage...Could be an unique creature?
  Skaven:Rat/Human,small,smart,usually evil,good with popi

Reptilians:

 Dragons:Strong,smart,has an hoard,varius alignement and color,can breath something,
        depends on color(Black=Acid,Red=Fire,White=Frost,ecc.ec..)

 Wyvern:Look like small dragon,can fly but has no wings,has a tail with a poisonus
        stinger,i also think they have an "hypnotic"gaze...

"Animal Races(Reptilian)"

  Lizardmen:Likes swamp and water,has claws,organized(like orcs) in tribes,
        better-than-average fighters..   
  Saurials:Like Lizardmens,but bigger and stonger,and i think they are purple in
     color...
  Medusaes:Has poisonus snakes for hair,so ugly her gaze stones..is an unique creature?
 


Varius:


Doppledanger:Shapeshifter race,"normal"form is a grey humanois with pointed ears...
Gith:"Alien"race,grey in color,long limbs,hates Mind Flayers..
Mind Flayer/Illithids:I altready talked about them in another post..but,remember,
            they are VERY smart creatures that eat brain and have 4 tentacles.

NEW IDEAS,NEW IDEAS:

Add the possibility to start as a god...
Add the possibility to "create"your character,even selecting the race/sex
if the player really wants...(but he would have a lesser score?)

Like in "real life",time in Armok could pass faster if the character is happy/excited
and slower if he is doing some boring thing(like reading a book he does not like)...


Some "minor ideas":

   Mirrors:Allow the character to see himself(not for vampires/similar creatures)
           could be useful for reflecting beams of light,or for killing some
      creatures with a stoning gaze?
   Shadows:A bit like mirrors...could be useful for telling a creature is
      a vampire..(NOTE:I think legends say Vampires have no reflection
      and shadow because they are soulless...but then..most undeads are
      soulless...)
   Here is a list of some "minor" bad things:
      Stomachache
      Dyarrea(i don't know how to write it corretly)
      Spasm(i don't know how to write it corretly):Basically,an involontiary
      movement of muscles.Immagine having a spasm and slapping a King/Noble..
      Baldness(for males)

A little more ideas:


"Social"Effects for walking around naked in "civilizzed" towns..you could get
arrested.

What about allowing SOME parts of the game to be in real time?Like some "games"

Dirty fighting,like low blows and similar things...

What about allowing thing like "global heating" in a game were there is industry?

What about allowing the player to hold his breath if he wants but it's not necessary?

If we will have things like "going to the bath" some...emh.."biological products"of some
creatures could be used for something....like magic..

ultyplayer"Armok:What about allowing multy player playing for two
player in this mode:One player host the games,the other plays.Every player takes a turn,
then the world file i sent (automatically,by the Slaves of Armok program) to the other
player,who takes his turn,then the save/word file is sent to the other player,ecc.ec...
This could work well if save/world files were small...Would work good for making two characters fight

New Ideas:


What about allowing a "first-person"view if the player wants?


Allow to "regolate"the strenght you put in your blow,like you could use a club
to "subdue" the enemy or knock him out,or you could use "stronger-than-average"
blows,but you would get tired faster.
Similar to this,add the possibility to miss because YOU WANT,you could use a bow/crossbow
to shoot a person that you don't want to kill,and miss,the monster COULD be scared,
and if he is a child,the enemy could faint,or,if very old,have a hearth attack.
Of course,some creatures/entities could be unable to moderate the strenght of
their blows..think to Berseker Warriors.


What about allowing diferent types of parrying?Like you could parry low/high/at center...

Ships:Ships could be moved by winds,waves,man who paddle(use wodden stakes to beat
the water),or the ships could be moved by some sea beast attached to it.
Also some player could get sea-sick and get penalties.


Digging/Bury:Allow the player/entitities to dig/bury..depends on strenght,tools and varius factors...like
some race might be more adept at digging using their hands/claws.Also,if a player digs very deep,
he could find water,treasure,or even fall in hell!Also you could bury creatures(dead or not),
be buried alive and similar things.

Getting drunk:Could protect from cold,cause permanent brain damage,make you vomit and similar
things.Alchool tolerance depends on races and size,but some smaller races are more
tolerant than large ones,for example,Dwarves are famous for their great drinking.

"Unique/Limited Creatures":Think to some mytologycal creatures.They could also be "limited",like there
could only be 2 in the world.Also,it would be rare for the player to be a "Unique"or "Limited"
creature.


Some Ideas for "Stock Entities/Races" for some genres\universes:


Mind Flayer,AKA Illithid(Horror/Sci-Fi):About 180-200 cm(6' foot) tall.Looks like an octopus(could be of the
same motive,since they don't look like mammals or reptiles)has some tentacles(i think six),
needs to eat(or suck with the tentacles?) brains,but i think they CAN eat meat,but it is not
very nutrient for them.A Mind Flayer player COULD be non-evil,but he could only eat the
brains of some creatures?Also,Mind Flayer are VERY and i mean VERY smart.Illithids are
the "space"version,they are so smart they can build spaceships.

Satyr(Fantasy/Faery):Short(like dwarves),has got hooves,small horns,loves to play a sort of flute,
lives in forest.A mammal?

Ogre(Fantasy):About 250-300 cm(8-10 foot)tall.Very strong.Humanoid.Lives in tribes.Not very smart.
Usually evil but more "civilized" than creatures like Trolls.They look like the giant
version of Orcs.There is also a "Mage" version,but is more like a shaman.Probably a mammal?

Klackon(Sci-Fi):Giant ants,walking on two legs.I think they are about 180 cm(6 foot tall).They are
smart enough,and very hard workers.Probably an insect.They have an acid bite.

Dark Elves,AKA Drow(Fantasy,especcialy Dark Fantasy):Tall enough elves,with pale skin.Tend to be evil.
Females are smarter and rule,while males obey.They worship a sort of spider goddes(Forgot her name,i think).


Kraken(Fantasy,especialy in Acquatic sea worlds):Giant Squid/Crab that attacks and kills evil people
at sea.Also,it's an "unique" creature.

Tarrasque(Fantasy):Giant dino-like monster.Sleeps four about 100 years.Is VERY big.Almost invincible.Skin
is used to make VERY tough armor.This is another unique creature.Probably a reptile.

Varius Hybrid Entities,like:Half Orc/Half Human,Half Ogre/Half Orc(Ogrillion),Half Ogre/Half Troll(Trogre),
Half Demon/Half Human,and similar things.

Some Curses:


"Mida Curse":EVERY thing the player touches(including most creatures)becomes made of
gold...the player can't eat(and so dies),except(maybe)if someone throw food in his mouth.

"Curse of foretelling(or future-seeing"":Player can see what could happen in the future,but people is
unlikely to believe him,also it could be dangerous to have random "future-seeing"..
think to it happening in battle(like for Bardock if you watched the Dragonball Film
with him)

"Curse of EverLasting Day":Player is forced to re-live a certain day,even if he dies.
This continues until he does something important.Every time the day re-starts,he
remembers what happened before,including gained experience/skills,maybe,but not including
items?

Being cursed by a mummy,or by a dying enemy("With my last breath,i curse the" could
say a powerful necromancer who is dying)

Being tormented by ghost(s) of someone.Probably,only the tormened entity can see them.
Also the player could become a ghost because he  forgot to do something in life,
he must do this thing,so he goes to the afterlife.

Varius "horror" or "violent" ideas:

What about a "scientist-necromancer" player/entity who creates monster by using parts of
varius monsters/creatures?Like,here is an example of a monsters like this..

Head = Lizardman,but with minotaurs horn
Feet = Goat Hooves(good for kicking)
Left Arm = Troll,if left forearm/fingers/hand is cut,it regenerates
Right Arm = Octopus Tentacle
Third Arm = Giant arm,uses club
Left Leg = Bear
Right Leg = Rhino
Brain = Either no brain,or the brain of a smart creature.

I don't know what motif they will be(mammal,reptilian,insect?)

If some entity get behedead,the head could "live"for about five seconds,the player
might ask question,the head answers by blinking the eyes(one blink = yes,two blinks = no).
This is also for "normal"entities(including humans),not for some undeads/Trolls.

The POWER of Brain/faith:If the player is religious,or has a high willpower,that could
help him to recover wound/fight.Even if he believes in a god that does not exist in the game universe.
Also think to the "Placebo" effect.

Even More Ideas:

A Day/Night and Hours cycle,depending on the planet(on a earth-like would,the day would
be about 24 hours).One of the problem is definining the time...how mucb time would
a "turn" of combat be?10 seconds?30 seconds?1 minute?Or a varius time depending
on weapon/attacks used.

(This is part of Corpse Processing)What about eating a part of the enemy body
when he is fighting?Like if cornered you could bite the enemy finger and eat it
(as always..good for trolls!)

Also,some more ideas for body processing:

   pulling the enemy hair(effective if the enemy hair is long)
   breaking his fingers ONE by ONE(easy for strong creatures like trolls)
   tearing the enemy heart off his chest...could scare near people..immagine
   taking an enemy heart and eating it in front of him..
   grabbing two enemies heads and smashing them one on another...

   

Varius Body commands like Spit,Vomit(try to),close your eyes,concetrate to listen better...

"Innocue" diseases,like Hiccuping.

New ways of moving:
   Limping:You could feign of being limp to cause pity(useful if begging for money)
   Walking Backwards:Good for retreating into an house and closing the door.
   Jumping on one Leg
   Marching:When marching you make more noise than usual.
   

Some "Minor things":

   If you are excited/raging and you have a decent hearing,you could feel your
   heartbeat.

   
Allowing of creatures to be under some other creatures..think to a gnome who is hiding
below a giant..

Faster regenerating creatures should need to eat more?

Developing of resistences(this is a bit similar to evolution):If an entity/player is
exposed for a lot of time to some substance,he could become resistent to it?Think to
a assasin who drinks LITTLE quantities of venom to become resistant to his effects.
Also the same for diseases.Another thing a bit similar could be getting tanned and
the varius effect of sun,including getting sunburned.

A BIG IDEA.What about removing player histories..like i found this history in the news
page:
"In the year 1396, you were born to Nother and Himfog.  At your birth, Nother died.  
Upon reaching adulthood, you were cursed by the gods.  A few years later, Himfog died."

Instead of starting after the death of Himfog,you could start a year or two after
your birth,you COULD be cursed by the gods and see Himfog die(or continue to live).
Naturally at 1-2 years of life you could have less control on your actions...
You could even escape from home,kill your parents,be adopted....

But it would take even REAL WOLRD YEARS to do this(i mean to play this,not
to program it)
