Hi!

@deathworks:
Just curious, what is the SRC Map Editor?

Ah, that is part of SRC (Simulation RPG Construction) which is an engine that allows you to create and play simulation RPGs (like the Robo War series). I have to admit that I have not really followed the very active development of it.

There is a very productive community around it, and it is genuine freeware:

Hi!

I just checked a few entries, but I have the feeling I don't like this. I mean, they try to be SFW, but it is still so hateful, that I would consider it NSFW anyway.

Hi!

@woose: I don't think anybody said about caesarean.

Congrats Nikov! :)

You missed it in Nikov's second post (added bold for emphasis):

Meta Stats! 7 pounds 9 ounces, 20 inches, black straight hair, predicting brown eyes, delivered caeserian (like an Emperor indeed) 8:26 AM.

Hi!

I am a bit sad that ThreeToe felt that people in the Trolling thread had gone too far. I had hoped to convince at least some people that bullying is a bad thing. Oh, well, it can't be helped, I guess. (I don't intend to criticize the decision - I accept its necessity, but it still makes me sad)

Hi!

That would explain why I never saw anything like that when I was there.
But then again, I definitely hadn't gone to Japan to eat a quarter pounder (^_^;;

Hi!

So, lots?

Well, that depends on your point of view, I guess. I suggest we leave this at "I like to have a good time" :) :) :) :)

Maybe I should have taken a capture of my desktop computer's desktop instead - there are more titles people would have recognized, like Heroes of Might and Magic V, Ys Origin, Sorcerian, SimCity Societies, ... but it's not really worth it, given that it is the same layout, only with a few different icons...

Hi!

Deathwork, how much porn do you even have on your computer?

(^_^;;

Not everything with a Japanese name is porn. Geesh, Japan produces also a lot of non-pornographic things like the Higurashi no naku koro series (on my desktop), or the Eiyuu Densetsu series (The ED icons), ...

As for the actual amount of erotic material on my computer - I don't keep such an overview. I recently updated my installation backup directories where I store backups of the install files for everything (erotic and non-erotic like Higurashi) I bought via the download shops, and it's currently about 110 Gigabyte. However, note that some of the SoftDenchi items don't allow me to save/backup the real install files, so that may add two or three GB. And this includes a lot of non-erotic things like Master Blaze, Elder Blaze, The Convenience Store, Tir nan og, ..... On the other hand, it does not include genuine freeware I collected.

So, in the end, I have no idea (^_^;;

Hi!

Oh, well, I guess I can add my support to the simple group. However, I don't like blue, so I at least changed the color. And yes, cleaning up is not a priority for me (^_^;;

Stas: That is really an impressive way of sorting things.

Hi!

abadidea: Bugged soap.

Ahhhhh. I put all the effort into making a few bars of soap because some poor guy had been on the operating table for literally years. He's walking again so I guess it worked.

I haven't checked this in 31.08 but that bug had actually a good workaround/limitation in 31.03 (I think) which probably still holds true: Bars of soap which have been claimed by the hospital will not trigger this error message as they are taboo. So, you can produce a few bars of soap without any problems, but once you have too many for the hospital to claim, you need to sell the excess bars.

Note, however, that when the bar is used to clean a patient, the remaining bar becomes a free object again and may cause an error message before the hospital has time to say "Hey! That's mine!" - but that should be just a singular incident.

Hi!

Allow me to congratulate you. Even though we are on different ends of the political spectrum, you are a person I have had some nice discussions/contact with, so I think this is quite appropriate.

So, congratulations, and I hope that your wife and the child will be well.

Hi!

Not to mention that no amount of soul-crushing makes the crushing of another thing dear to us less unpleasant. Not to mention some of us don't read/watch terribly much in the way of Japanese adult entertainment, so such a thing does get to us.

Ah! A good point you are making. And you also point out a mistake in my post (I can only blame that I should have gone to bed two hours ago (^_^;; ): Of course, it is silly of me not to expect traumata. However, I am still a bit surprised that people are surprised by such things. The thing I wanted to express but failed to express was, that even if we can't stand watching certain things, in the age of the internet, we shouldn't be surprised by their existence. After all, isn't there this thing about Rule 35 or some such?

Hi!

Shit gets crazy when you include comments about abortion AND about how inferior somebody's language is in the same sentence. I like your style.

:) :) :) :) :)

Well, I can only say that I feel very strongly about the French language. And given that Latin is kind of the mother to French, I find the abortion image quite fitting. Anyhow, this is just my personal feelings towards the language, so if people like the language, I do not intend to attack them (fighting over personal feelings seems to be pointless). I hope I didn't offend anyone with those statements about French.

Sonerohi: Thank you for the clarification.

About Nikov: Since people have brought it up, I want to point out that I agree that I just consider him to have a rather extreme political opinion and is often rather vocal about it. But I don't see him making malicious attacks for their own sake, so calling him a troll does not seem right. I also have the impression that people underestimate his sense of humor. When it seemed that the two of us agreed on something and I said so, he vehemently distanced himself from the general idea of agreeing with me on anything - a reasonable but funny comment, given that my political agenda is directly contrary to his, it seems (although we do agree on the stance on communism, it seems, at least as far as real life implementation is concerned).

Hi!

Please tell me your exaggerating. Please.

What.
Childhood destroyed.

Interesting. I would have thought that a common impression of what can be found in Japanese adult entertainment would have hardened people against such traumata by now. It is not that unusual for children's books to be used as a basis for sexual content. (And given the sexual interpretations of the deeper meaning of Little Red Riding Hood or the theories about Lewis Carrol and his attitude to that little girl, such things are not that surprising, I think)

Hi!

You know what incites my trolling? Weeaboo-ness. I guess that word is offensive, but I know of no other for the culture, could it be called that. If you learn fluent Japanese, without actually needing to for use of the language, I am going to lose some respect for you. If you do use it, without the context of trying to explain a concept (see: Armok saying kawai) then I am but the slightest touch or wind from falling off the precipice.

Actually, Armok can point to my avatar being a Japanese catgirl and also my knowledge of Japanese as reasons why he would use kawaii in that particular post.

I am wondering about your statement of "needing Japanese". I have learned Japanese, because a lot of the entertainment media I like are in Japanese and have not seen any translation. So, in order to access my preferred recreational media, the language was a pre-requisite. And I am not saying that everything created in Japan is great (I dislike and in some cases hate shounen manga/anime, and I really hate Japanese real life television, for example), but there are a few nice things that have been created there and which are not accessible unless you learn the language.

In a way, my English skills have a similar background as I grew up in a time where Germany didn't really have much stimulating television programming for children, resulting in me spending weekends watching Sky Channel and Super Channel. Later on, I got fond of pen and paper RPGs and computer games, and again, those were mostly not-translated, or mutilated in so horrid ways that makes it unbearable if you know the original.

So, I am wondering whether my knowledge of Japanese is legitimate or not in your opinion.

Grakelin: French has a very complicated grammar (I personally hate the language and think Latin was much better and should have had an abortion, but that is another can of worms, I guess). Japanese grammar as I perceive it is actually very simple, maybe even simpler than English grammar. Only when you reach learning vocabulary, there is a kind of hurdle and if you want to get into the finer aspects of formal and respectful speech.

Nenjin: Well, you are not completely free with PM, though. If you consistently insult people via PM, you may get into trouble with the admins anyway as you are using the system for something it was not intended to be used.

EDIT: Huesoo: I hope that I have made it clear enough in the past that, while my posting style has some meaning for me in the categories of respect and responsibility, I do not expect people to copy me and I do not measure them against my own arbitrary rules. I hope that people can accept such a live-and-let-live attitude.

However, I believe that a positive atmosphere on the internet is a good thing. Therefore, I am inclined to try to further such a positive atmosphere, if possible. So, in that way, you might say I am trying to influence people, although I do not claim the authority to force people to behave in such a way.

Hi!

My apologies, you just have a strange affinity for catgirls.

Ah! I wasn't angry at you or anything. I can understand how people who are not interested in any of it can get confused about that, and I can't really blame them. Thus, there is not really something for you to apologize for.

Basically, I like Japanese catgirls and Japanese monstergirls, so it is not surprising for you to make that assumption. I just hope that you can keep in mind that I am not a furry.

Thank you for your understanding.
