Hi there!
I've decided to dwell into DF after 10+ years of hiatus.
This time I wanna do it with a tileset.
I've looked at some tiles: spacefox and phoebus look really nice.
Are there anything else comparable?
What tilesets have the most tiles?

1x iron helm
6x leather hood

1x iron breastplate
3x iron mail shirt
6x leather cloak

2x leather trousers
1x iron greaves

1x iron gauntlets
1x leather mittens

1x leather socks
1x iron high boots

What for are socks and mittens - as of now gauntlets and boots protect fingers\toes, or i'm wrong?
I still don't understand whether making xmany of clothing actually gives dwarves better protection or not?

Sadly problem is still there - i supply my fort with a combination of manual job assignment, setting it on repeat, manager's list and abundance of breweries(3) and brewers(4-8)
Same with furnaces\forges (melting stuff is a pain!)
On a brighter side my bonecarvers decided to abandon the strike and churn out bone bolts at a steady pace.
My guess is that pathfinding\mby containers is the culprit- imo they can't just find the stuff they need effectively, thus cancelling the assignment.

Had the same problem (don't use any hacks though). I solved it by exploratory mining – the 5th (or 7th) level had marble - took a couple of year of search though.%)

It says nothing - one moment the assignments are in the queue the other they are all gone - nothing like "x cancells job - no brewable something".
Booze lvl is critically low - i've to stop playing till i solve the problem  :'(

I've a big fort and the latest version and the problem i'm facing atm (and it keeps growing) is that looots of orders at workshops are cancelled a couple of seconds after i give them. Earlier i kinda coped with it with help of manager's orders, but now even they don't work.
The most dire situation is on the brewing production front - i have 3 stills, 3-5 brewers, pile of empty barrels, pile of plants and brewers are in a special burrow that encompasses the brewing industry yet not booze.
The other problem is soap making - i have dwarf power, tallow(recycled fat), buckets and lye - not soap though.
Same with the bone bolts - there're bones (not carcases) from 10+ goblin sieges, forgotten beasties, titans, kittens and other horrible stuff, yet the bone carver won't move a finger.
Any suggestions on why does it happen and how can i battle it?

I have: DF v 31.25, huge fort, working magma smelter, piiile of iron, piiile of charcoal, piile of marble, yet i don't have an option "make pig iron bars", whyy?
Can it be because charcoal does not have enough kick in it to act as a fuel and i have to search for coal\lignite?
