"Are...you alright, Carrot?  What can I do to help you?"

I look up, slightly confused.

"It is, isn't it?  I mean, you're bleeding.  I don't think dead ponies bleed much, and they certainly can't worry about being dead, right?"

"Don't panic, don't panic!" I say, clearly needing to take my own advice.  "You're still in the hospital, I'm sure a nurse can help you.  Charity!  Do you know where a nurse is?"

"Yes I am.  You seem to be recovering very well, it looks like Dr. Bubbles was worked up over nothing."

I give Carrot an encouraging smile.

"Dr. Bubbles, I got that book you wan... oh, um..."

I pause just inside the door as I see Carrot being consoled by Charity.

Perhaps my favorite defense that actually requires a volcano is the magma hammer.  Details are in someone's sig, but the basics are as follows:

1.) place winding pathway just over the level of the lava in the caldera.
2.) place water reservoir over caldera with defined leaking points.
3.) when foes come to say hello, start dripping water into the lava.  The new obsidian will be unsupported and cause a cave in, including dust.
4.) Laugh maniacally as invaders are forced off the winding path by dust.  Why let them dodge when you can force them to fly off?

I wish I could claim the idea as mine, but I can't.

Aw, but I like hyphens.  Thanks on the comments on the new avatar everypony   I was watching that episode and couldn't resist getting a cap of it
