What exactly is all that windpower used for?

I can see a small pumping operation bringing water up from the river, waaay up, but to what purpose?

I think it's to supply the possibility to farm in internal areas of the bridge and maybe supply water to wounded when needed without haveing to leave the bridge itself? It would require many pumps and things to pump the water the entire way, and since estetic taste is involved i guess some wind mills are placed just to keep it in balance.

Isn't there a way to controll good/evil areas in the same way. i want a gradiant that goes from good ->Neutral -> Evil

I was considering a race of living gods. They wouldn't have the possibility to breed much and growing up would take aprox. 250-500 years. They would in all sense be unkillable but would expand their civilisation by stealing babies. Could this work?

and underground rivers more like the ones in old DF with a couple of walkable tiles before the water. (so far i haven't found a singel underground river/magma so i don't know if it allready got this.

I was thinking about adding a "drink" item thats really expensive and can't handle temperature changes.
Is this possible. I know the inside of a cave keep a steady temperature. What i want is esentialy a booze that explodes or burst into flames if it touches "sunlight"(temperature changes) any suggestions?

I really hope that the more intresting underground would involve the possibility to find underground caves. Large open areas. That would be cool. Not just bottomless pits but just a large open area that you can expand into and build into. Would be so cool... i think so atleast...

It's WAY more advanced then Diablo. Yes both are precedural designs but DF work on way way way more parameters.

It's like comparing, pac-man with a flight simulator. Yes both have controls used to controll an object. But it's done in very very very different ways. Where one is much much much much more advanced. Specialy since DF have very few premade tiles.

See it like makeing a picture from a couple of jars of paints or make a picture with a pussel. Both produce pictures one takes more work and is much more flexible.

could it be that the grown amount is hard coded and the cluster size only relates to how many are brought with you on embark?

or for plants that already grow on the map.

Yeah. One of the sidegoals of the entire creature creature toolchain will be to be able to press a button and get a total random world based on some player specified values like x good y bad races (or not up to the player)

Thank you so much, for such a long time I have had this strange urge to do a random map generator for Df (just for my own sake) and this way i can just make something that generates grayscales load them trough your program, and tada!
