Sneak a look to see if they all left; it's weird they'd didn't leave a single member to guard the house, and they could have methods of blocking your abilities. If you have time, grab money, a coat, a knife, a pack, and a hat (in descending order of importance). If you have more time, fill the pack with edibles from the kitchen. Don't bother picking and choosing if there are a lot of different things, just dump it in and go.
Are there even items like that in the house?

My first post:
"Hi, I'm NRDL. I'm a newb to Dwarf fortress. I'm such a newb that I don't know how to play fortress mode without giving up in frustration. I do like playing adventure mode though. One thing I'd want to do is make goblins playable as an adventure race, but I just can't seem to do it. No matter how much I mess around with the raws, I can't get it right. I've been searching everywhere for an answer. Can someone please help me?"
I put it in the modding section. As you can see, I wanted to play as goblins, so a bunch of guys, including Deon, helped me out. After that, I ended up downloading the Genesis mod, the first DF mod I ever used.

Try to search for some clothes, either in closets ( I love closets ) or drawers, or any other type of container. Search in the other houses if need be. As always, keep reading minds for any useful information, and keep your shiv in your hand. Also, if you find food, take it and eat it.

Hole up in a closet or somewhere you think they won't be able to find you. Try to get some sleep, but keep your shiv in hand, just in case. Also, since this Subject's muscular, does that mean he has a decent amount of strength?

Try to find a house that's either unlocked or unoccupied ( or both, if you're lucky ). Once again, keep reading the minds of the soldiers to find out what their objectives are, their numbers, their weapons, etc.
