Spoiler: Slippery Pete (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Jack (click to show/hide)

Jack, seething with rage, moves his hands further up and attempts to gouge out Pete's eyes. [11 vs 5-1] The thumbs go into the eyes, drawing blood.

Pete, in pain and lashing out, attempts to kick at Jack's leg wound. [7 vs 4]  Something in Jack's leg gives, and blood appears to almost gushing out.

Both fighters bleed, neither are dead yet.

Spoiler: Jack (click to show/hide)

Pete [4 vs 4], with the last of his energy, jams his thumb into the slightly open wound on Jack's left arm. The wound isn't deep, barely does any damage in the grand scheme of things. But it hurts, and Jack reflexively jerks his left hand up, breaking the choke!

In the time that the choke is loosened, Pete is able to take something resembling a breath, resetting the time until unconsiousness.

Jack still has his right hand hold, and is maintaining the grapple. Jack tries to reset the choke with both hands [4 vs 5]. Jack isn't able to sink it in, although the grip from his right hand alone is clearly hurting Pete's throat.

Both fighters are still prone.

GM note: I gotta say, rolling the dice on my end is getting suspenseful as shit. Goodnight y'all.

Spoiler: Jack (click to show/hide)

Pete, determined to get out, attempts to knee Jack in the groin with what little space he has to work with [11 vs 8(!)]. The dude's groin is made of iron, unfortunately, and while there is damage, it looks like Jack barely feels it. In all actuality, Pete's knee might have come off the worse for it.

Jack attempts to continue the choke, while Pete struggles to get out of it [7 vs 6(!)]. Pete is not able to get out of the choke, completely, but in his desperation, manages to claw his fingernails down Jack's left arm.

Jack, seemingly undeterred, sinks in the choke further [5 vs 2-2]. There is an audible sound as Pete's windpipe starts breaking.

One more turn until Pete is unconscious.

Spoiler: Jack (click to show/hide)

Jack goes on the attack. [9 vs 6-2] He sinks his meathooks around Slippery Pete's throat, and begins choking the life out of him.

Pete, in pure desperation, kicks at the splinter shard in Jack's leg again. [5 vs 6 ] Pete's knee attack hits solid flesh again, barely doing anything.

If Pete doesn't break the choke at the end of 2 more turns, he will go unconscious, and be unable to defend himself.

GM note, I'm going to add some updates to the mechanics section of the first post.

Spoiler: Jack (click to show/hide)

[5 vs 7-2] Jack dives in on Slippery Pete, his hands attempting to reach Pete's throat. Pete manages to time his defense well, despite the agony spreading through his leg. He moves his body downward, causing Jack to miss his throat. Jack falls on top of Pete with a thud, but isn't able to complete the choke.

Pete, in the midst of this grapple, attempts to knee the piece of wood further into Jack's leg [3 vs 6], but Jack looks like he barely feels it. The hit wasn't very powerful or precise.

Both fighters are prone.

Spoiler: Jack (click to show/hide)

Jack, eminently disappointed, goes to stomp on Pete's broken knee [4 vs 8-1] but with a remarkable intuition and fluidity for someone nearly in shock, Pete manages to throw his hips sideways and Jack's foot lands on dirt, as opposed to bone.

Pete looks up at the broken off tree branch still flying in the air, and sees salvation! [4] The branch falls straight down, and Pete manages to grab ahold of it whilst dodging Jack's stomp.

Pete attempts to stab it into Jack's leg [11 vs 8(!)] It lands, but the stupid branch disintegrates into smaller shards of itself in the process. A small bit of the branch is stuck in Jack's left leg, but it's in the meaty part, so it doesn't look deep or impactful.

Spoiler: Jack (click to show/hide)

As Jack approaches, tree branch whistling through the air as he swings it in preparation, Slippery Pete strikes! [11 vs 7] With his good leg, he kicks at Jack's knee when he's close enough. The hit lands, but Jack is barely fazed as his tree trunk legs stand firm.

Jack smiles contemptuously, and swings the branch at Pete's centre of mass [4+1 vs 4-1]. Jack manages to catch Pete, even as Pete tries to roll out of the way.

Expecting all of his ribs to be caved, Pete closes his eyes. He hears a snap, but he feels...alright? Like, he felt the stick hit him, but there was barely any pain.

Pete opens his eyes and sees that the branch has snapped in half. Must've been some rot underneath the surface of it. Pete's chest is slightly scuffed, but all the force got dissipated and is now flying through the air with one half of the tree branch.

Both men stare at each other, surprised.

Spoiler: Jack (click to show/hide)

Much to Slippery Pete's visible shock, Jack lets go of him! The man calmly stands up while Pete writhes on the ground, eyes on Jack the entire time.

Jack walks a short distance, and picks up a heavy fallen tree branch lying underneath the nearby tree.

Jack turns around, practicing swings with the branch like a kid at a baseball game. He's got a creepy smile on his face.

There's a pause as the two fighters, one standing and one still prone, stare at each other.

Spoiler: Jack's Eyes Only (click to show/hide)

Slippery Pete manages to act first, [2+1 vs 12(!)] and tries to use all their strength ( plus some bodily fluids ) to wiggle out of Jack's grasp. Unfortunately, Jack's crushing power is unbreakable, and he even manages to squeeze hard enough to audibly crack a rib.

Not satisfied with this, Jack [10+1 vs 5] lets go of Pete's waist and grabs their leg, despite Pete trying to resist the lock. [9 vs 2] Jack near effortlessly wrenches Pete's right knee, breaking it. Pete howls in pain, the kind of pain that unconsciousness or shock doesn't help.

Both fighters are still prone.

Both of our combatants move closer to each other. As they get closer, they notice a few things.

Spoiler: Jack's Eyes Only (click to show/hide)

The man in the flannel shirt, known as Jack, makes the first move. [10 vs 5+1] He rushes in, closing the distance on Slippery Pete and grabs him by the waist.

Jack, heaving with all his might, suplexes Slippery Pete into the nearby back rest of the bench. [3] The bench is hit hard, but is not broken.

In the ensuing impact, [5], Jack still manages to maintain control over Slippery Pete's waist, even as the two of them crash off the bench onto the floor. Both combatants are now prone.

Fluffe, Fire, you're both in. Let's begin.

It's a cold, crisp Autumn night. The location is Jehnarik Park, and it's almost totally empty. Two men are out for an evening stroll. They see each other, and lock eyes. Game on.

What do these two individuals do?

Sorry that I made this unclear. The Dice are just there, there's no fixed number that they're gonna be.

If you used Dexterity for a STRIKE, I'd roll a

Whereas if you chose to you GRAPPLE, I'd use a

Also, for the sake of your own advantage, put your sheet in spoilers.

From your current dice arrangement:

Right now, just need your name and appearance. Otherwise you're good to go.

Wanting to test out this combat based RTD idea.

Premise:

"Using the new app Duelr, people all over the country can now battle each other in legal, fair, physical fights. The rules are simple. No bringing any weapons with you, and any weapons you find at the neutral area are fair game. Fights are to the death. Apart from that, go nuts."
