Yes. I am well aware. I thought about taking the mouth out from under the beard, but it just loses its charm that way. I was going to just claim they're fake lips with the fake beard, but I like your explanation better.

With this John going through the hell that is being raised by the Condesce and the other going through the apocalypse, the death of his father, his own death twice, and the possibility that one of his friends will die, one thing is clear. Nothing will ever cause John to be anything other than a cheerful little derp.

Still looking for an explanation of Gamzee's..er..codpiece. I think it was a move by Hussie to instigate weird ships.

The whole issue is likely largely irrelevant for more that a gag, but still.

It's a Bard Quest reference, same as all the Problem Sleuth references floating around. Presumable the codpieces are traditional bard garb now in the Hussieverse.

Well you can't explain these things the exact moment it happens, you have to wait for that information later. Time works linearly dude. I'll consider calling Gamzee the most important character in Homestuck enough foreshadowing for him to do something weird and fucked up that we don't quite understand.

I'm a little more interested in how Gamzee apparently kept a couple of corpses fresh for at least three years.  That's Jane's fridge he's pulling them out of.
