Using Windows 7, I dragged the extracted files and folders into my /Raw/Objects/ folder, overwriting the item_food.txt, but don't see any pony civilizations in the legends mode upon generating a new world, or any ponies listed in the historical figures.

I recommend that you delete your raws, then paste the pony raws in. I'm using Win7 and for some reason, overwriting a folder just adds the files in and replaces same name files. It doesn't delete the original contents, and add the new ones.

You might want to play Anno 1404 then. A meticulous island empire builder with goals mainly being trade. It's medieval though, and it has a steep learning curve.

Regardless, it's a fun, hard game.

There was a tissue layer something in the iron man raws. Find that and add it to your colossus raws. The keyword you're looking for is the word 'UNDER' in the creature_subterranean raws. Ctrl + F for it.

When bored, I usually play terraria, basically a 2D minecraft game with castlevania elements. Speaking of castlevania, I play the castlevania trilogy on the DS (DoS, OoE, PoR) or if I'm using my PSP, then I'd pop in Dracula X chronicles, usually for SotN because I find classicvanias hard.

When bored and seeking for rhythm games, I play Stepmania on the PC, Elite Beat Agents on the DS, and DJMAX Portable on the PSP.

Otherwise, I just play the Happy !!Fun!! game called Dwarf Fortress, and a few roguelikes.

Difficulty varies between classes. There are some easy earlygames and hard endgames, and there are hard earlygames and easy endgames.

Choose whatever you prefer.

From what I've read, herma creatures can be achieved, so as long as there's a MALE and FEMALE in the same map to fertilize.
