I love child-snatchers.

No less then 5 of them were discovered the instant they fell under a cage trap.

Another was discovered when the local wolf wildlife chewed him to shreds.

Post the stories of your stupid mistakes which you ever did here, and the (probably catastrophic) mistakes they caused.

Just now I tried to dig (outside), in an attempt to level out the surroundings, there was a collapse, and part of the hill fell three stories (through the fort), driving 3 dwarves unconscious and killing a legendary mason.

Oh well.

I have a champion macedwarf who happens to be a woman. She single-handidly slew a lot of goblins during an ambush... and now... she just gave birth.

Scary...

I'd think ambushes go away when you massacre the enemy. In the begging you should probably turn invaders off from init.txt, until you have a good enough military.

I'm not sure if goblins go hungry eventually and leave.

Yep, that's what cats are for. Although some players wont agree. There was a person who had a fort filled with cats who actually held off an invasion...

Bet the game crashes with the "has given birth" messages

Very good tip: Never give steel weapons to recruits.

My fortress had 5 injured people, including an elite wrestler... out of a 15 unit military.

All of them sparring injuries *shudder*

A large animal is an animal that isn't vermin, that actually has a symbol which isn't a coloured dot.

You need to change creatures.txt as far as I know...
