OH.
I GET IT.
The tutorial is from an older version of DF, so that probably is it. I meant for you to download the most recent version of whatever texture pack you want and then moving the raws folder from that.
Anyways, as one guy says it
When you bought a Mac, you signed up for this shit.
Don't I know it :s. Truth be told, I'd rather have a Windows computer for games, but my primary and most powerful computer is a Mac so it's more convenient if I can get all my games to work on it. Plus it has a larger and nicer screen.
In any case, as I said before, I got the Mayday graphics set to work, but I think it isn't working properly since some of the text is displayed as symbols instead of letters. And is the latest version supposed to have colored boxes around all the text?
Probably what I'm just going to do by now is play the old tutorial version on my Windows computer so I can actually figure out how to play the game, and then I'll worry about installing the proper graphics on the new Mac version later. I might just end up playing with the ASCII graphics anyways; it looks more classy.
Couldn't you just put the script file from the mac version into the tutorial folder?
You might need to get the script from an older mac version from the downloads page though.
I think I tried something like that with both the tutorial and the most recent Mayday release, but it didn't work. However, I don't really know what I'm doing, either. What exactly is the "script file"?
