America has the Statue of Liberty, a gift from France.

Japan has the 1:1 scale Gundam statue, made for the series 30th anniversary and was made in the middle of Japan's economic crisis. It has a giant sword, lights up, and can turn it's head.

Clearly, Japan is the more Dorfy of the two countries.
