Don't pay attention to people like that, you'll want to stab yourself.

I have my gripes about the Metal Gear series, but from MGS 1 and on, I've loved every minute. MGS 3 is a game I've played at least 6 times now, one of them being a quick run through right after a previous run because I accidentally finished it while a friend of mine wanted to watch me play. They'd seen bits and pieces and were pissed they missed the ending, so I started over from the beginning and let them watch me do the last hour or so.

Still haven't played MGS 4 due to a lack of a PS3... but one day...

I'm curious about the setting of this new one... so much to speculate about.

It's most likely set in Africa. I also heard that when you finish a mission and are extracted you can make the helicopters blare music from your harddrive.

I don't think there has EVER been a pc port for a MGS game.

Well, simple harassment. It's not really all that obscure.

Free speech shouldn't cover repeatedly telling someone who's gay that they're evil. Free speech shouldn't limit laws concerning stuff like putting burning crosses on black people's lawns to just property damage. Stuff like that.

The line between "harassment" and simply lacking tact gets pretty fuzzy I'll admit, but once harassment has been established, I do think we can agree that a person's right to not get harassed outweighs the other person's right to free speech.
I agree with that. I don't believe someones rights should supersede another persons.

I'll just pop in and point out that the main problem with GIFT isn't the anonymity part, but the audience part. Douchebags that are out for a laugh and to assert their perceived superiority won't stop to harass someone unless there's an audience to do it in front of. Internet bullies are really no different than real life ones, except they're usually older.

I disagree with anything that limits free speech.
Really? Anything? Or was that a bit of hyperbole? :)
I'm pretty tired right now, I've only gotten about 2 hours of sleep in the last two days. That has afforded me a special kind of clarity, one that has far fewer inhibitions, one bereft of what most would call "giving a shit".

Almost everything, I'm sure there is probably some obscure fact you'll dig up about nazis raping puppies or something to make me look like an idiot.

I believe in personal responsibility, that people should be more self-sufficient. I disagree with anything that limits free speech.

Either total enslavement or total anarchy. Either you supress yourself/let yourself be supressed, or you wreck their shits.
Really? You honestly believe that you either have to be a pussy, or you have to backstab and kill anyone in your way?

There is a difference between tolerance and acceptance, Assertiveness and selfishness.

Sitting down and crying about how awful the world is doesn't accomplish jackshit, if you honestly think the world is such a horrible place how about you do something about it instead of whining?

There are jerks in real life, there are jerks on the internet. If someone gives out there personal information on the internet, then are surprised when someone abuses that info they're idiots. Whats worse is going to a place like 4chan looking for validation, although it's become far tamer that it used to be.

Also all of your propositions in my opinon are awful.

Take legal action against Moot for allowing theese things to happen and have his site shut down.
As far as I know he enforces his rules, but subboards like /v/ have over a hundred posts a minute, so most threads vanish in minutes.

Pass an act deeming imageboards illegal unless they require personal identification
I'm pretty sure this would violate the first amendment, I sure as hell know it's not friendly to free speech

Replace janitor team with goverment hired special-pedagogue's who can look up the phone numbers of people and try to fix whatever is wrong
I don't think giving a government agency the authority to look up anonymous peoples phone numbers is such a good thing.

You're trading free speech for protecting the feelings of the thinskinned.

Damn it. They already made a shitty Total Recall reboot, do they need to potentially ruin the one good thing Detroit has going for it?  :P
True, I always saw robocop's crime infested setting, with it's corrupt police force and rampant murders to be one of the greatest advertisements available for detriot.

General Discussion / The Robocop reboot

Do you still remember RoboCop, the half-man half-machine (cyborg) law enforcer with superhuman strength? If you are born in the 80’s he might have been your childhood hero that is in the ranks of Superman, Batman and Spiderman. For the unfamiliar younger generation out there, RoboCop is a 1987 American science fiction film set in futuristic Detroit, Michigan. The story revolves around a veteran police officer named Alex Murphy that was murdered on his first patrol on the said city. OCP (Omni Consumer Products) or OmniCorp then takes his body to be used in the cyborg program called ‘RoboCop’ making him the first RoboCop.

According to IMDb the upcoming RoboCop 2013 should be expected to launch on August 9 2013. This time Joel Kinnaman (Easy Money, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo etc.) is set to play the role of Alex Murphy. His antagonist, Dick Jones to be played by Hugh Laurie (Mr. Bunny’s voice in the movie Hop) is the evil CEO of OmniCorp that will send an ED-209 war robot to destroy RoboCop.

In the new movie ‘RoboCop 2013’, the same ED-209 was used but this time the robot is redesigned perhaps equipped with powerful weapons and armor that can withstand against tanks. Also there’s a new addition to the gang that is set to protect a city, an unmanned aerial vehicle XT-908 that is similar to a drone in size but looks like a stealth fighter. It can be deployed within the city to spy on the streets looking for criminals using its face recognition technology. You can check these out on the real OmniCorp website – www.omnicorp.com, no I’m just kidding. The site exists only for the purpose of promoting the movie.

By the way if you’re looking for online movie services you can now sign-up for a free trial of Hulu Plus RoboCop Rebooted To Hit Movie Houses in 2013 account!

Last but not the least, there’s a not yet revealed robot that was only known as the RC-2000 found in the OmniCorp site. Have you seen it?  Could it be the robot technology that will be used to build the next RoboCop? Tell us what you think by posting your comments below.

This movie is also going to be PG-13. Because everyone was clamoring for ANOTHER pg-13 robocop movie, remember how well Robocop 3 played out?

I imagined this scenario a while ago. You could have a constant guard of minecart guardians, and they could be staffed by vampire marksdwarfs.

I also imagined a scenario where I drop minecarts from above with marksdwarves in them shouting "FLY INTO THE DANGER ZONE!"
