Iris carefully picks up the stakes, and passing over them when told to.

"At the sock storm? Some guy appeared, shot at me, realized I'm part cat and almost broke some of my ribs, and then I ran off. How are you?"

Iris leaps onto a tree near Barth, and drops down.

"There wouldn't happen to be anyone else with you, would there?"

"No. I need a bath anyway."

Iris jumps into a tree, having calmed down somewhat. She looks up into the sky, and sees what seems to be the first normal cloud all 'day'. In fact, there are a lot.

"Is it gonna rain soon...?"

That's not very smart. And Iris WAS planning on doing something, but fire is more important.

Also, I presume your characters left the sock mound?
