Roll To Dodge / Re: MTG Adventures RTD - Turn 7, a diplomatic failure.

Hopefully it stays back?

No more Half Life 3 release schedule, please.

My moe-meter just exploded. Do you know how much those things cost!?!?!?!
Too much, if it's so badly made it explodes at that.
Mine is much higher quality. Can take up to 1k Moe-tans (around... 10 Fluttershys, give or take an Applebloom) before shutting down. Worth every cent.

On that note, when are you going to get around to fixing your skull?
And when will you ever use it? Spraying summoning magic and hoping it works seems to work better so far. :P

Plotting is the DF way.
Well, here it's called !!SCIENCE!!. :)

Dear Urist McUnintentionalSacrifice.
Yes, all glory to Grandfather Nurgle, but there's a reason that noone is allowed in that room except the normal sacrifices.
It hasn't even been a year, yet.
Oh well, the FBS is still incredibly potent, and Nurgle will have a pleasant surprise.

Your chaos-worshipping overseer.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: What's going on in your fort?
« on: November 05, 2011, 10:03:06 pm »
Due to discussions in another thread, I've set up altars where dwarves are regularly sacrificed to Tzeench and Nurgle, and another where my captured goblins are ritually slaughtered as sacrifices to Khorne.

the altar to Father Nurgle took the most work. Getting the FBS solution onto the altar without it going everywhere was hard work.

Thinking about it: Father Nurgle, Tzeench, and Khorne would be entirely at home in DF.
Slaanesh would have to sit it out though. There's really no hedonistic depravity here.
Slaanesh likes pain. Dwarves are happy to oblige.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Okay, yeah, you're right.
Damnit. XD
<- refuses to pay any sacrfices to slaanesh.
<- Regularly pays tithes to the others. Blood, secrets, and foulness FTW.

Think we can get angry dwarf versions of the three of them? >.<

This being on a tangent from how awesome that pic was.

The only thing currently going on in my fort is the gentle cooling of magma after a pair of disastrous errors flooded the entirety of the fort with molten !!Fun!!.
... and... 4 dwarfs, 1 barrel of food, 1 axe, and 1 pick are all that's left.

Oh, hey. I got a fresh start. And a goblin ambush. YAY!

...

Only wood actually burns, i think.

(C)onstructed things are everythingproof (constructed ice wall will hold magma etc). (Except a cave-in or a dwarf with a deconstruction order).
Most non-(C)onstructed materials won't actually "burn" but they will be destroyed by magma.
The list of magma immune items is fairly short, unfortunately. Your best bet will probably be using the stone type you find surrounding the magma to use in moving the magma around. As for containing it, as Kogut said, as long as it's (C)onstructed (specifically, not a building) then it's impossible for anything short of cave-ins or determined dwarfs with deconstructive designs to take it down.

Waitlisting this so hard.
please?

What do you do when you don't have magic classes?: Contemplate the surrounding world, and seek to better understand magic beyond the standard understandings.

I am still waiting for that mayor caught having sex with a throne...
I'm pretty sure thrones are non-receptive to spores. And dwarfs, like everything else, breed by spore. Not sure what this "sex" that you speak of is...

You, Sir or Madam, have just come as close to winning at dwarf fortress as is possible.
Congratulations on all the fun you had for those precious seconds until everyone drowned.
