Well i guess i am doing something wrong, as despite following the documentation about how to play online and the "tournament information" , and despite i just played again, there is always no Bay12_Miners appearing at all.

So in case there's something missing here is how i do :

Instead of NetTile, i just tried with the current console version and Putty, connected to CAO , login start playing either a Sprint or normal Crawl, once dead i disconnect.
I see on CAO on my morgue page, my game log is listed.

Now few days ago after reading a bit about how to setup the tournament team , i noticed the mention of "your CAO rcfile" or ".crawlrc" and obviously i found no such file at all in my Crawl directory.
Googling a bit i found that for some reason those were in fact the init.txt (the documentation is totally unclear on this) in a comment from this page on the crawl dev website.

So in my crawl directory\settings\init.txt i added as needed :
# TEAMNAME Bay12_Miners
# TEAMMEMBERS baruk Soulwynd akhier christhawk Frumple3

on the top of the file, as mentionned in the documentation.

And nothing appears in the clan list related to Bay12_Miners.

I'm sure the explanation of why it does not work is somethig trivial, but i found nowhere in the CAO website something different from what i did.
Any help ?

it seems there is already a scoreboard for the 2010 tourney if you want to check you have everything setup correctly :

i can see a few members of the Bay12_Soapers (for some reason there is a 2nd Bay12Soapers with "koe" as captain) and Bay12_Champions there.
But for some reason despite i just played a few game, the Bay12_Miners and my name do not appear.
So i begin to wonder if i setup things correctly.
It is really in the \settings\init.txt (and at the very top of the file) that i need to add
# TEAMNAME Bay12_Miners
# TEAMMEMBERS baruk Soulwynd akhier christhawk Frumple3and not anywhere else ?

t's right, except Person (I'll move him to Blacksmiths with question mark) probably won't be on the team. And you don't need to include yourself.

Yes, new nasties can appear.
And in the case one day you manage to fetch the Orb, very bad new nasties will appear too

A few questions about the tournament, as i don't see the information anywhere :

-the tournament start on 1st august and ends on 1st september, but how much games at maximum  are we allowed to play that count for the tournament ?

-as i see it is possible to select CAO or CDO for the telnet servers, depending on your location for less delay, but are all the members of a team supposed to play on the same telnet server for the stats, or are they free to choose either CAO or CDO regardless of other team members choice ?

-on the miner team Soulwynd is always listed with a "?" , can he confirm he will be able to play with the team or is he always unsure ?

-on the miner team, Mr Person is always  listed under a  "(7.)" is he always unsure about being in the miner team ?

Cool, being a Miner is fine. Oh and just to be sure is our team captains name in-game actually Robsoie or is it something is it something different?

considering that's my first try at an online tournament with crawl, i'm not sure me being the team captain is a good choice.
My ingame name is Robsoie too anyways.

a slightly modified 0.45 tileset to include an edited version of the Teeko_K/Maus font on a clean background, and a few little different tiles pleasing a bit more my eyes.
