if the a minner is outside when goblins come just channel 2 times down in a 1x1 area

If he is asking for stacked cloth then you just are going to have to get him some if you want him to live. Keep in mind he might be picky about the exact type of cloth that he wants, requesting silk, plant, or yarn based are the three but he will almost certainly only use one of these types.
i just used task maneger to close down the game without saving. lost 10 mins of game. anothe guy went fey mood and made a golden mace that my leader of millitary now has.

Ah. I think I embarked on an island.  Anyway, right now I am walling my workshops and forbidding the door when I don't have the materials needed by a moody dwarf.

This would have been a great embark.  It has Salt water, and I built a double Cistern really deep. I drain a Murky pool into one half of it and there is a safety overflow(like on a bathroom sink) through a fortification into the cave system below. Then I pump water over to the other half of the cistern to desalinate and clean it up.  I have a little walled in hallway for pump operator to go and manual pump some fresh water when the well runs low. The water is 2 Z-levels deep on the clean side and 1 Z-level deep on the dirty side. It took 2 rainy seasons to fully fill the clean side.

if its an island then it could take 1-1000 years for goblins to show up. look up island on the wiki i think they have an articl on the topic

if your on an island mountian/s desert or icy wastland (islands dont ever get goblins... or just take longer i've neve rplayed on a small island) ait could take up to 5 years for goblins to attack. look up local civ's and if there are no goblins, just piss of some elfs or humans,

my legendary minner(whom i've grown to love) has gone into a strenge mood. i don't want him t die. he is asking 3 times for stacked cloth. so does he need alot of cloth or all three types

Bone armor is better than nothing, but not nearly as good as metal.

And no, you can't use ore, coal, or any other stone to make armor.

And someone will probably tell you that you should have edited your original post rather than double-posting. But I don't see why it's such a big deal, so I won't bother telling you that.

no i mean can it be turned into coke if biomutinous coal is in a dumb. and if ore can be made into bars. and ya probably should have edited
