You think you cast me down, but your lynching only ascends my status as a troll.

Valve is awesome, how DARE you accuse them of doing such a thing?I wonder if whoever gets the grand prize (EVERY. GAME. ON. STEAM. OMGWTFBBQILUVUVALVE) will even really be into games. Or have enough free time to enjoy them them.so it could quite actually be that someone wins, "all the games on steam" but it could simply be "those suckers, they believe it! we are going to get all the games to a fake account, and delete it afterwards!"*evil valve grin*
Also I don't know about anyone else. But no time to grind feels soulless. And the tutorial wasn't broken for me. Also permadeath is a choice, it's really just for achievements and purism. I actually intend to stop using it after beating each difficulty once with permadeath on.I agree, the floors feel a little lame with it on. I've recently started playing with it off again.
My own suggestion is to play a beefy character first with a couple of skills you're interested in. So you have the durability and lifespan to find out what works for you and refine a build you enjoy playing. And despite the game making it a little more appealing to keylean, don't. Tap the keys or use the mouse to move.
480!It isn't on fire. It's right in front of me.
Steam currently has this on sale for like $1.75 with DLC. This costs less than a coffee and is supported by a community I enjoy, so I splurged. The ingame tutorial's broken at the moment, so don't bother with it. Also, ALWAYS play with permadeath on. No time to grind once you've got a 'feel' for the game.
Currently on Linux, and Steam refuses to play (Cataclysm demands I be on for a little bit longer), so I'll check it out later today. Any advice for a young Dwarfling cast into the dungeon?
I have 30 minutes or so to buy some cheap games. Is Dungeons of Dreadmor fun? It seems like just another roguelike with stupid graphics and this one is pretty expensive for a RL (read: not free).BUY IT NOW! Even if you don't like it, you'll get more enjoyment out of it then the cheetos or whatever you end up spending the dollar on.
360Kb/s download speed... FO:NV at 82% completion... UUUURGHYou think that's bad? I only have about 50 right now. I hate living here.On the subject of Dredmore: If my 6-year-old-less-than-1-gig-RAM-XP-single-core-dieing-by-inches laptop can run it, than I guarantee that anything you've got can handle it. Go ahead and buy it, it's quite fun if you're into that sort of thing.
Yeah, it was pretty much the only game where I had no worries at all about being able to run it. I've been meaning to get it for ages and putting it off; now that I can pick it up for $1.24, I have absolutely no excuse not to.
Going to be cashing a few checks of birthday money soon, so I'm going to be able to continue buying new games without the massive guilt associated with taking money out of checking or savings.
So I bought this, based mostly on the positive buzz around here and the fact that it was cheaper than a can of Pringles. xDThe in game tutorial is broken at the moment, so find a good tutorial series on Youtube. Always have permadeath and DLC enabled. Enable no time to grind once you think you've got a good feel for the game.
Anything I should know before playing, or just dive in, die horribly dozens of times and learn as I go?
