Zombie elephants and zombie elks are about as dangerous as the hippie workers smoking pot at 2am at your local Taco Bell: you roll up into the place, they don't know what's going on, nor do they care!

EDIT: Well, that's my experience in one haunted forest.  Werewolves are bad, zombie fish are reputed to be really-really bad.

I survived as long as I did by turning my farmers into herbalist (plant gathering) and making brew and cooking the brew - it appears the old alcohol cooking bug is still in (prepared meals made of minced alcohol).

My fortress has survived:

Mandrills
1 Hydra
1 Bronze Colossus
x Kobold thieves
1 Fake Seige
x Goblin thieves
1 Dragon

and now everyone is starving to death.  The caravan wagons, which were slow in arriving because of channels I had to cover, arrived with the food I needed but  got right to the trade depot before deciding to go leave.  What a waste!  All I needed was another few seconds.

I'm kind of happy its coming to an end so I can go through in Adventure mode.  Hopefully I'll get this farming thing figured out (as of now I haven't been able to get a choice to plant anything).

In the old version the only person who could transfer hostile creatures from cage to cage (from cage to chain) was the dungeon master.  If a regular dwarf tries to do it, he'll walk a few steps with the beast, get scared and turn it loose.

EDIT: Nice try on getting us all killed

I don't know if I could get that kind of advanced interaction - I think she's pretty intent on killing my dwarves instead.

The best thing I can think of now is to put her in a pit, with a large retractable bridge on top, and pull it out from under seigers.  And even then I'm afraid she'd just ignore the goblins and pace back and forth.

Oh WOW!  I just queued up the highwood cage with the dragon to be sent to the trading post (so I could determine her value) and somehow she escaped.  Now she is tearing apart my whole fortress from the inside.  I hope my recent save didn't capture this.     :D

When she arrived on scene, I immediately checked her "wnd" and there was no wings to begin with.  A dragon with no wings... I thought it strange.

I did it stock game.

EDIT: The soaper is still burning in my hallway.  I have restricted his items and tiles to traffic - his items are still: !!item!!

I wondered the same thing too.  Its satisfactory just to keep her in the rat pile, several levels above the other piles, with all kinds of other doo-dads, odd ends and garbage.

You betcha.  Before or after the dragon is caught?  ;-)

ADDED:

After dragon is caught:  http://rapidshare.com/files/67082161/afterdragoniscaught.7z.html

I can also upload the save just as he is attacking, too, if you want. I just ordered all the dwarves inside, military off duty, she walked through a 2x bismuth and steel large serrated disk trap, five (I think) wooden spike ball traps, flaming a soaper before hitting the first wooden cage trap.

The weapon traps that stopped the bronze colossus put her in the light grey.  Since all the dwarven snack goodies were ordered inside my fortress, she pretty much *had* to walk through the weapon and cage traps.

She's named; and I heard that named creatures can't be tamed.  What should I do with it?
