I like to think I'm a clean, smart, attractive guy.
With a manly avatar, no less.

I'm seventeen and I have yet to have a non-blood related girl hold hands with me.

I think its more about my shyness though than anything else.
That is not such a bad thing. Once you do find someone someone you like (who likes you also), that first time is really special.

Oh! I thought you meant you did not think others would find you worthwhile. I'm sorry...
I know what you mean, though. Life can throw enough problems at us as it is.

Oh, well... haha.  For me, it isn't other people's reactions.  I just know I wouldn't make a very good partner right now.
You should not put yourself down like that...

Oh, I couldn't, either.  I'm just looking forward to being old and in their ballpark :3

And yeah... I dunno.  I guess I just kind of have a thing for old men.  Which is incredibly creepy in some ways, but whatever.
Oh, okay. That sounds more reasonable. Still a little unusual, but not so much.
Being in a relationship with someone much younger is even creepier, in my opinion.
I personally think that if two consenting people are happy together then it shouldn't make a difference if they're different ages.
That is a good answer, though it is a shame that much of what makes a relationship good for some people is how others react to it.

Hmm... I don't know about the hydrodynamics of this thing.
Gah, the blood! It is coming out of my eyes!

8/10.

Galick, that avatar would be great if it had a transparent background. For some reason, solid white backgrounds are a pet peeve of mine...

Doesn't matter.  I find myself frequently attracted to men who are 60+ years old, largely on account of brains.  So, really, I'm just saying... plenty of people don't care that much about whether or not someone is conventionally beautiful.  Relax, people!
I have many friends that are of that age, but I cannot see myself getting into a relationship with one of them. I am sure there is a line somewhere between those that are old and not attractive (in the ocular sense), and those that are young and equally unattractive. I suppose it does not matter as much as most of us think it does.

a lot of girls (looking hot but having slightly higher IQ than monkeys, maybe)

Also it was a woman's slap, not a powerful back slap or anything like that.

This may be part of your problem.

You want to date one of these hot girls?  Stop characterizing them as nearly-subhuman, weak creatures.  Seriously.

We're all different.  Don't pretend that all women are x and want y.  Given the roughly equal population of men and women and the human tendency to breed in monogamous pairs, there's as many dateless women as there are dateless men.  You just aren't seeing them.

not true, threre are more women than men,the nature works that way,a male with lots of female companions is easily going to breed, but if there is a female and lots of male they will breed, but the female will not be available anymore, and i know it sounds (and actually is) stupidly sexist, but the idea of sexism comes out of human reasoning,i don't support sexism at all, what i mean is that nature doesn't take in count human's preferences but human's needs when the time to evolve comes.
So, you are saying that nature promotes polygamy?

There also exist women who, like me, take showers and then put their clothes on while they're still wet because they can't be assed to spend the time and energy on a towel.

I have basically the same standards for men as I do for myself.  If you've got reasonably clean clothes on, shower most mornings, and don't have, say, food stuck in your beard or something similar, we'll get along fine hygiene-wise.  I don't give a damn about greasy hair or most other things in that line.

Of course, my standards for brains are pretty far out there, so it makes sense to lower some of the other stuff to compensate.

Also, I frankly just don't care that much.  I don't like dating guys who are prettier than me ::)
I know clean smart guys exist, Vector. Heh, I suppose as a rule they should all be taken, though.

2nd Granite, y.11
---------------------------------------------

The fortress is quiet in these early morning hours, and in a mountainhome, that silence is as deafening as it is beautiful. The steady run of sand and the occasional click of a mechanism is the only thing audible throughout that first night I have spent asleep in my office, and indeed, the large hourglass from which this noise originates began to turn with a creak just as I have awoken. The sound of colliding wood proclaimed the new morning as that hourglass came to a halt, and sand flowing once more for yet another six-hour cycle. This day's events were nothing to look forward to, and these were my thoughts almost exclusively as I slipped into my leather dress and silk shoes, and stepped out into the dark, and dizzyingly large, empty chamber that was the primary dining hall. My mind immediately slipped into the happy memories of when I was a young girl, exploring the deep reaches of the all-familiar mountainhomes, and wishing incessantly that I would find that tauntingly beautiful blue stone, with that naive resolve all children have.
I walked briskly in the direction of the central stairwell, and descended it carefully so as not to injure myself. The air became cooler as I descended, and I wrapped my woolen cloak tighter.
Fievreux's room is among the first on the left, and knowing her, she will still be asleep at this early hour. Her husband, a thin and frail dwarf who works on stone with a slow fervor (or so I hear), walks past distraughtly with something of an ackward bow, and continues on, presumably to tend to the children Fievreux and he are raising.
I knock on the mayor's door softly, and enter to find the room well lit, and Fievreux sitting on her bed, crying. My heart sinks the moment she tells me her daughter, Bembul, has a broken knee from her fight with stoneworker Feb. Telling her about the plan will not be as simple as I had hoped, and I am afraid this is where this entry ends for the moment.

I am certain that this journal will be less complete as the year progresses, but my job will certainly be as busy as it is unclean. None might even read it.

What are my injuries?

You're not injured. You are the Legendary Chainsawdwarf Doctor.  :P

Drognan has some severed nerves and "ability to grasp somewhat impaired".
Oh! Heh, I thought I was injured also, somehow. I was about to correct your pronoun!
