Right, but I assumed my character wouldn't know this because he is from the Northern forests, which I presume are the more peaceful folk.

You're from the Northern parts, of the Southern Jungles.

~~~~~~~~~~Asha~&~Tala~Blackstone~~~~~~~~~~
You both set down the road, through the forest towards Ecanomina. Night has already fallen by time you spot the first signs of civilization. The city doesn't appear to have walls, or even buildings for that matter. A network of roads weaves along the forest floor, connecting tree to tree. Twisted around most of the trees, are walkways carved from branches, and high above you see more walkways, connecting the trees to each other. The city is quiet.
C)Travel to the West, into the Forest
D)Travel to the East, into the Forest
E)Travel to the South, back down the Road
Benjamin:
The jungles are inhabited by the "Southern" Elves, and while they do still hold respect for nature, much like the other Elves, they aren't against cutting down some trees, or hunting for sport. (They aren't as bad as Humans in that regard, but "Besides, what have the elves ever done to harm the forests?" still wouldn't quite fit.)
Also, I think an Elf dual wielding pistols and a cowboy hat would be cool. I imagine this world as an old western style fantasy realm. Something like the Dark Tower series by Stephen King.
It's a bit more modern than that, but it's hard to label it with a time period because of how... Different, things are. Before, I compared the time period to somewhere between WWI and WWII, but obviously with different technologies being more or less advanced.
But I'll have to remember that Dark Tower series... It looks interesting.
I have magic... I am hoping to delve into fully nature magic later on. I just don't have any spells yet  ???
I just haven't added any to your character sheet yet.
But that question up there was actually referring to my little project that goes by the name of "Modieval" (Modern Medieval)
-.- Only had Melritch's post left to do, when Windows Media Player seemingly caused my computer to crash.
I hate when that kind of stuff happens.
And requesting a link to Modieval.  :D
The bay 12 one isn't up yet, I've still got lots to do.
Bay12 brims with creativity  :P
Magic scares the mundane.
They (The players) normally are creative, and their character bios were all pretty good... It was just that they chose to be non-magic using humans.
Time for another random Modieval question. (I'm not sure why I ask these so much in the Medieval OOC Thread.)
This is a truly massive, and relatively strange world. Trains, Automobiles, Airships, Firearms, Humans... Then we have Dwarves, Elves, Orcs, Dragons, Magic, etc. Which are what make the setting a little weird/interesting, but when I tried a Modieval-like game on my personal forums... No one created a character that could use magic, and most of them were human.
To me, it was a bit of a "Huh?.." moment, and I found that fact really interesting in itself.
So my question is: What kind of character would you play as?
